Okay, I thought I'd put this up here.
1. Do you like Animal or Human/Humanoid/Fantasy Creatures best? All of the above, though I've been on an Anthro/furry/Fantasy creature streak lately
2. Are you a literate, semi-literate or illiterate roleplayer? If you mean my writing style, literate; though I will admit I sometimes misspell things.
3. How often do you roleplay (estimated number of hours)? Mostly its with my husband so it could be 3 hours. Regularly, 1 hour but its sporadic unless I know all parties are there and its a session.
4. What annoys you most in roleplays? God Modding, whining, giving your character more special abilities with no explanation/reason, etc...
5. What do you think is an over-used subject in a roleplay? Questing/party/Medieval style. I do this too on occasion.
6. What subject atracts you most to a roleplay? Interesting plot, creative characters, good participation
7. Is the title important to a roleplay? No. Titles usually come after a roleplay is done. Things change, people create variables. Plus it keeps away constraints and allows more creativity.
8. Does the amount of pages into a roleplay matter to you before you join? Yes. Unless I can get a synopsis so I can understand the roleplay up to that point, its not a good idea to jump into the middle of a session. I'd rather wait for the next session, unless there was a request for me to join.
9. Do people asking for recaps constantly annoy you? Yes unless they have a good reason for asking (i.e. using a library computer) and only want from the last point they posted from, and if its been several pages. One or two pages a person should be able to read through.
10. Is there a certain thing that puts you off joining a roleplay? Other then the aforementioned; a subject/plot that is one-sided (i.e. guaranteed person A will be a big hero), not well thought characters, or a plot/subject/time frame I am unfamiliar with.
11. Have/Did you read the roleplay rules before joining a roleplay? Usually; however most rules are the same, and if its a rule in the first post of the actual thread, then yes because it pertains to that specific one.
12. Do you use chat speak? Chat speak as in Ventrillo or TeamSpeak? Not for a role play with people online; only for my husband. I'm not against it, I just find it unusual and a bit awkward.
13. Is there a plot type that you think is over used? Damsel in distress; I'd rather see the warrior in distress, or something unusual.
14. If there was a roleplay based on your faveorite book/movie/game would you join it? Possibly; it would depend on what the setting was and how close to the original it was kept. Fanfic style is a different thing altogether.
15. What is your favorite being to roleplay? Character type? If so, I bounce between a few depending on mood. Anthro (dragon, feline, wolf, and others), Human (class would depend on roleplay; sorceress doesn't fit well with space travel), on occasion my own creation.
16. Can people tell when you are writing Out Of Character? Yes
17. How do people tell when you are writing OOC? I type OOC: or put (()) around what I say OOC
18. Does Spam annoy you and do you spam? Yes Spam annoys me. No I do not spam (unless its in a designated Forum game titled either "Spam" or "Bump")
19. Do you write posts that are over a pharagraph? Usually; I would rather have more detail than leave someone else drawing a blank and trying to fill in the spaces.
20. Can you understand Chat speak? Do you mean leet speak? If so, then ignore my previous answer. Yes for the most part I can figure it out.
21. Does Chat Speak annoy you? Again, if meaning leet speak, YES! If you are participating in a text role play, write out the words. Writing to accommidate an "accent" does not count, however.
22. Do you use images you've drawn, CS images or images of the internet as pictures of your characters? I use either internet pictures or pictures I've drawn. CS images would apply if I was doing a CS role play
23. Long, detailed forms, or Short, traditional forms? Long detailed. All collected on the first/second post so everyone can have something to reference. Even if you have to put in a note that X will be come apparent at a later time, still include it.
24. Do you like posting historys? Yes, histories or background information that will help keep you (the character creator) and others on the right track with a character. It also helps to figure out how a character may react to a situation better
25. Do you think mini plots are ok? Mini-plots? Like side plots? Its fine, may help prolong a role play, but if it starts to become its own thing, it needs separation.
26. Do you think roleplays should have plots? Yes, even if its just a basic idea and not a strict guideline to follow, you need a reason who, what, when, where, and why (possibly even a how) otherwise things will get out of control.
27. Are some historys overused? Of course. Mistreated villain, orphaned hero, poor-status fighter. Very common
28. Do you like realistic or non-realistic? Both is fine (just not together O.o). If I'm doing a modern era rp, then I expect it to be realistic unless otherwise stated. However, if your talking characters then realistic. You cannot make a human turn into a puddle of goo unless they have a spell cast on them that causes that.
29. Are any characters you use sterio-typical? Some times. I try to stay away from that and make mine more original.
30. Do you like sterio-typical characters? If they can have some originality/creativity to them. No, I don't like boxed/cookie cutter style characters.
31. How many roleplays are you in, and what levels are they? None here, only with my husband. We don't do "levels", we do length of time; currently going on 2 weeks.
32. Open to all, invite only or 1x1? All of the above.
33. Do your roleplays die down? Sometimes; a good RP'er knows when to end a session and when its dragging on too long. I have had a rp last for 2 months.
34. Do you like roleplays that are like: "{insert roleplay name here} Chapter 2? Depends on the amount of fun, creativity, and if the person is using it as a story or not. Honestly, I've never really had one like that, I'm only guessing what I'd feel like.
35. Are there any roleplay styles you hate? If we're talking para vs. fast, then I don't like the fast. I'd prefer something like para, possibly turn-based. The success would depend on the other rp'ers.
