Zek nodded at Tom. "Even though I tease her about it, I agree with reason number two. After all, Hale's my cousin." He suddenly noticed that Sean was standing next to him. "Wait a minute! When did you get there?!"
A memory suddenly popped into Hale's head. One from when she and Zek were little and how he'd always looked out for her. "Well that was random..." She groaned in realization. "Or not. That better not be why he was so mad," she muttered.

Zek chuckled. "Yeah, Hale told me about that. I never seemed to be paying attention when she talked about you though. For a while, I thought you were her imaginary friend." He smiled sheepishly.

Zek laughed. "Hale certainly doesn't want you to be invisible. The reason I wasn't paying attention was because she would run into my room and start jumping up and down, talking way too quickly for me to comprehend. Man, was she hyper!" He grinned. "Eventually I got an idea of what she was saying and started to just tune her out until she calmed down."

Zek grinned. "Yup! No matter what happens we've always got Hale." He frowned. "Although she can get a little crazy and hyper sometimes... and a bit scary."
