“ooh safiya! Look at the cutie staring at you; you should go talk to him!” Nala said Safiya who blushed at the thought.
She looked to see who Nala was talking about. A dark lion with the markings of the ancient spirits was lying at the other side of the camp. As Nala said he was quite handsome but Safiya did not have the kind of courage to go and speak to a male. She looked down and nuzzled her paw trying to ignore his gaze.
“Come on Safiya, we will need to find a mate sooner or later. Most of them are pairing off in our pride already, he is new to our pride anyway so go and make him feel welcome already” Nala nudged safiya to get up. She new that if she didn’t make any effort Nala would bug her the rest of the night, maybe even the rest of the week.
“Fine ill go and introduce myself” Safiya sighed and stretched as she got up.
She slowly made her way over to him, he looked up and grinned.
“Finally the beautiful lioness comes to introduce herself!” he laughed.
She rolled her eyes trying to hide her blushing.
“Yea well I’m Safiya and welcome to the pride”
“well hello Safiya, I’m Ashpër. How about you lie next to me. Please? I am sure it will make you’re friend over there happy”
Safiya was nervous but excited at the same time, not many lions had ever taken much interest in her. Mainly because she was quite shy.
“ok, yes I will” She awkwardly smiled at him and laid down.
He moved right up to her, she could feel the warmth of his body. He leaned in and whispered in her ear.
“Stay with me, ok?” his breath caressed her cheeks. And she nuzzled her face into his mane.
“ok”
