Speaking of tearing apart...

I edited a story the other day of one of my friends...And I just wanted to kill it with fire. Little to no grammar D;

I'm always looking for editors, especially ones who aren't "nice", so I will keep you in mind. But first I need to do my complete rewrite. Right now, no mortall, or immortal for that matter, eyes are allowed to look at my story. Soooooo baaaaaddddd....

And bad grammar is the bane of my existence. I understand some mistakes, because some of it is hard, but some stuff is just common sense. It is not "Me and my friend....", it is "My friend and I....", although sometimes the "I" can be "me".

What are your goals as an author? To complete as least one novel. To progress with my writing. To publish a series of books.
Can you give us a sample of your writing?

The shock of finding that your mind doesn't care about pain brought across by the smallest of things. Knowing that death could be around every corner, under every stone, but the thought no longer erupts fear in the heart, but instead seems welcome. When bright, blinding sunlight no longer makes you wrinkle your nose and squeeze your eyes shut. Like your head is in a trance, only aware of the path ahead of you. This is how David felt. Every pebble was a boulder under his bare feet, threatening to drag him to the ground and force him onto the rough, stone roads. Pain seeped through his shoulders and down his thin spine. He was only vaguely aware of the footsteps behind him, closing in on the short distance that kept the air between this young man and the men that were chasing him.
His hands grasped his shirt, trying to find the items that it withheld. It was still there, a small lump in a large, baggy shirt. Another jolt of pain swept through his lower back, and he could no longer take it. No matter how little his mind cared, his body did. His legs gave out from under him, and he found himself on his knees. Large, rough hands fell onto his shoulders, forcing him to lay flat on the hard road.
"You just made a terrible mistake, didn't you?" Came a deep, mocking male voice.
One more shiver of pain, and blackness swelled around his eyes, and within seconds, the conscious world left David.

Are you currently working on any books? I am working on many books at the moment.
Why do you want to join? I enjoy writing. The idea of joining a "club" or "league" just for authors sounds as if it would be a fantastic experience.
Do you have published books yet? Not yet.
Do you wish to find a "writing partner"? It's not a desire of mine, but it wouldn't hurt anything.
What Role(s): Author, willing to take a mod position when I get to know everyone a bit better.
What's your favorite Genre? Fantasy and horror.
What kind of books do you write? Fantasy, fiction, and horror...

The sample writing looks better when it was in word. Nice... probably difficult to read now.

Haha! Well, I'd rather wait until publication to read it, otherwise I'd feel guilty in getting a spoiler. Plus, the few chapters would just make me feel like I'm addicted and need more (books seem to do that). Thus, it would just add more unnecessary (not to mention self-inflicted) stress.

Just one thing before I allow you to join. You need a role. On the second post of the first page is a list of roles, such as authors, mods, novelists, etc. Please choose one.
Also, I loved your sample. It probably doesn't look too much better on word, when in fact it looks just as well on CS, if not better.

Just me, was my wording odd? Probably was, so I can see the easy mistake x3

I have a feeling using emoticons makes me seem bad and childish. Maybe that's why nobody wants me to edit~
Just kidding :3 I had an aunt that was a literary agent, and she helped me perk a little with my writing skills and editing. The one thing I see the most in writing, which is a problem, is fragments and run-on sentences. Fragments are perfectly fine when talking and thinking, but not for, like, actions D;

Oh. XD Sorry. Well, that was more my fault than yours. I read something in a post, and I often get very confused. Well, I just had a thought. I don't see you on our member list yet, so would you like to join as an editor? You can engage in all the discussions and act like the authors, but you'll be in the role of an editor. I don't require you to write a paragraph like the authors either, really, so you just skip that part. How about it?
