Pet's name: Cervantes ♂
Pet's name: Desiree ♀
I'm pretty sure I've posted them before, but I love them so much I can't help it n_n
These two... <3 I've always loved the two together for some reason. Almost like a beauty and the beast camaraderie.
In fact one of my characters is loosely based off of what one of their offspring would look like n_n (see avatar)
Well, I guess I'll tell you their story on how they met. n_n I'll have to condense it a bit though, because their intro's are normally long n_n;;;

Desiree came from a loving family, who lived in a quaint cottage in a small town. The husband and wife who lived there decided to buy their young daughter a puppy one year and they found Desiree from a breeder nearby. Years pass and Desiree grew to become a beautiful dog, who was loyal and loving towards her owners. For Desiree, life couldn't be any better. But one day her perfect life came to a shattering end when she accidentally knocked over an oil lamp. Soon the house was all ablaze, and although the family got out safely, they quickly disowned her and shoo-ed her away. Frightened beyond belief, she sprinted for a forrest nearby...
Cervantes was born in the wild. His pack consisted of 7 members, with his father and mother as Alpha. When Cervantes' father heard news of his partner giving birth to puppies he couldn't be more ecstatic, for now he would have heirs to his title and children he could certainly be proud of. When the puppies were born the Alpha went to see his pups. All 4 of them appeared healthy and lively all except one... who had peculiar markings. Unsure of what to do, he decided on alienating the pup from the pack. He spoke with his partner and mentioned "getting rid of it", however the female alpha couldn't bear to get rid of her puppy. Finally, after much bitterness and arguing, the mother was forced to abandon him, leaving him in the care of one of the townsfolk nearby. After many years he grew into a handsome wolf. Although he had strange markings, the old woman who was caring for him didn't seem to mind. One day, however, there was a pounding on the door: the townsfolk demanded that the "demon dog" be vanquished. Quickly she let Cervantes out of a back door where he rushed into the woods nearby, never to see the town again....
It would be fate that would bring them together.

Desiree had ignored the hunger and weariness that stabbed at her for 3 days, mainly focusing on her primary flight reaction. She grew light headed and tried desperately to continue onwards. But her body gave out and she passed out onto the ground, the view of the stars being the last thing she sees before slipping into the void.
***
"Hey." came a voice through the void. Desiree felt something against her side and gave a moan.
"Heeeeeeyyyyy, you alive?" came the voice again. Desiree felt the nudge on her side again and realized that whomever, or whatever, it was that was standing over her... was poking her.
"Heeeellooo? Seriously, you could at least blink or something."
"Uuuggghhh... wha--? Where am I?" She said as she slowly opened her eyes and glanced around; it was daylight out, that much she was certain.
"You've been lying here ever since this morning," The voice said "I dunno how much longer you've been out before that."
At this Desiree glanced up to see who was talking to her. A large wolf peered down at her with his head tilted to the side in curiousity; He had a smirk on his face out of bemusement.
A few seconds passed until Desiree grew wide-eyed and yelped. "AAAHHH!!" she screamed as she lept to her paws and ran behind a large rock nearby, hiding from the strange wolf. He seemed to find this hilarious, for he gave a laughing bark as Desiree peered from behind the rock.
"Relax! I'm not going to hurt you."
"Oh yeah??" Said Desiree hesitantly, "Well... how do I know I can trust you?
"Because," The strange wolf began, "this morning, when I found you, your body was cold. So I lied beside you to keep you warm. If I were going to kill you, don't you think that would've been the best time to do it?"
Although Desiree didn't want to admit it, she knew he was right. Instead of telling the wolf-stranger this, she settled for looking at an interesting blade of grass by her paws and felt herself blush a little.
The stranger chuckled.
"So... you're afraid of me not because I look different, but because I'm a stranger?"
Desiree flicked back her ears and snorted, "Well duh! How would you feel if you woke up and some random wolf was standing over you???"
The wolf-stranger smiled at this. He wagged his tail in amusement.
"After all the trouble you've put me through, the least you could do is give me your name." At this, the wolf-stranger walked up to Desiree and lowered his muzzle until they were eye to eye. Desiree flicked her eyes in his direction and whispered, "...Desiree."
The wolf-stranger's smile widened, "My name's... Cervantes." He motioned his head behind him, "Let's go find you some food, shall we?"
