I got only a rare spider and a collie advent, the advent idn't bad but not great either. I traded for some other rerelease pets including a lovely toxic and a sun jewel bunny which I've gotten some wonderful offers on. I hope I get more December 18th pets soon though.

i don't like asking for people12-18 pets becasue i really don't know what they'd grow into and i'd feel like i was cheating them if the pet grew into some really rare and awesome pet ^^"
i'm happy with what i got from the box and with what i got from my sister. ^^

Well, you can know the litter they're from and some start off as adults. I usually try to make an offer around fair for the lowest possible outcome since that's what it's most likely to be and with the exception of some rares list pets values don't vary too much within most litters.

I found someone who traded it since they don't like rats, and I adore
this one since the moment I saw it, but to be honest, I don't even know what
this little beauty is :3 Anyone who can help out? I'd like to have the year for
better sorting.

Also, which year is this bunny from? I haven't seen him before, but
I can't be found in the archives a lot, so the re-release yesterday really
was a problem for me and my year-sorting system.

I find myself getting jealous of what people got. I saw someone who got both URs. And I see a lot of people with a BUNCH of dec 18 pets, all from either newbies, or accounts created on the 18th and that have had no activity since then../:

I got a BMD and the '09 Valentines Day b-wolf. Sad I didn't get the BA but now at least I have good trade fodder for it.

You are so lucky!!! The BMD is one of the coolest pets on CS in my opinion :3

Accounts created on the 18th can't adopt pets that day, if CS didn't have that rule probably many members would make second accounts and get banned...

I got these two on the 18. I knew my luck isn't the best, considering that although I got one rare, it's a rare I already have. Trade fodder I guess. =/

Indeed it is August,and no people haven't been getting pets from the 18th on other accounts because I wanted to see what else I could get ((I wouldn't transfer the pets,never thats rule breaking )) and it said new members may not get any.c:

I think CS needs to rethink how they do the 18th releases. It is really sad seeing how many people got disappointed with commons & uncommons for their 18th pets, I didn't get anything really amazing with my adopts but at least I got an 09 rare dog so I'm not complaining for myself, so many people have commented on how upset they are over the 18th pets & that it has made them so disheartened they are considering giving up CS. The 18th was talked about for ages in advance as the major event of the CS Christmas, the chance of getting really rare, hard/next to impossible to trade for pets, and the newbies chance to have their dreamies, yet so many people didn't even get a recent rare. This is the first time I have ever questioned the way CS does things, in most cases I think CS & the staff are wonderful, but I think this policy of some users getting gifted OMG So Rares & UR pets while others get commons & uncommons is awful, this is Christmas, & many users here are children, a games Christmas gift shouldn't make people feel depressed & overlooked, I would love to see the CS users to go back to the excited people they were in the lead up to the 18th

There was actually a post about this; they expected 110,000 adopts when there were only 45,000. It's never been this tricky in past years.

The intention was for that present to be adopted 110,000 times, and that's what we based our numbers on. It turns out that it only got adopted 45,000 times in total.

The box has always had commons/uncommons in it. If it only had rare pets, the adoption limit would have to be lower, potentially lower than 1 pet per person, which would mean that we could not run the event. We can either release rare pets that few people get, or less rare pets that everybody gets. We cannot release rare pets that everybody gets.

Thanks for that Hekomi, I hadn't seen that and it does explain a bit why so many people got commons & uncommons.

I'm not saying everyone should get an OMGSR or UR, I fully understand that would just turn them into commons/uncommons, however maybe instead of one mixed box there could be two boxes, one with pets valued rare & up & the other with commons & uncommons, that way it wouldn't be so hugely lopsided, everyone would be guaranteed to get at least one rare & one common/uncommon

Okay, given, it can be dissapointing when you get something you already have, or that isn't of great value, and your friend just got a rares list pet. However, lots of players would probaly love to have the pet you are so disappointed about. If you really don't want it, why not give it to someone who wants it - use it as tradding stock to get something you do want.
I think those people who have got pets they don't like and are making a do about it, should look past the rarity and year, and do soemthing productive, itstead of throwing a strop.

Sorry if I've said something that has upset people even more, but that is my view to this.

LOL I think you miss-read what I said, I said in the first post I'm not disappointed in my pets, I at least got an 09 rare, however that doesn't stop me from feeling sorry for others who only got commons & uncoomons and were very disappointed, I think the older people on this site tend to forget how big something like this can be for kids.
