Just reading back these last pages has made me feel even more sad about the 18th. I got a rat from somewhere [ I can't even find it on the archives xD ] and an uncommon malk box.
The only good thing I got was a nonballoon from a trade with my friend and a cookie advent from BSN. I was really hoping for some good fodder to get my SS's higher pets but... that plan failed so I am going to feel really bad because I literally have nothing for them >//<
I'm doing something christmas day but I won't send my gifts yet as the group needs more stuff in ;^;

I'm positive the reason that there are less valuable pets this year has nothing to do with them. Here is a quote from Nick;

The intention was for that present to be adopted 110,000 times, and that's what we based our numbers on. It turns out that it only got adopted 45,000 times in total.

The box has always had commons/uncommons in it. If it only had rare pets, the adoption limit would have to be lower, potentially lower than 1 pet per person, which would mean that we could not run the event. We can either release rare pets that few people get, or less rare pets that everybody gets. We cannot release rare pets that everybody gets.

So the reason there are less valuable pets then other years is because they thought a lot more People would adopt from the box. x3

There were a ton of Batdogs rereleased I am seeing them everywhere.

And it's driving me crazy because these people aren't responding to my trades ;____; I actually have the fodder to afford them, too...

My little babies, Meredith(vixen) and Napoleon(sorbet). <'3 I had to trade so many of my collection pets, but it was definitely worth it. This year these guys were the only pets on my December 18th wish list, and now I get to watch them grow up as I raise them as my own. Lol, I'm such a proud mother.
I feel like my wishlist has grown overnight. xD Worth it though, because now I'm going to start a little mini-vixen hoard of five. Doesnt count yet of course, but come later in the year I'll hopefully have finished it by then.
@SS discussion: I'm not giving my SS until the 25th, I don't have enough pets yet. D;

I would've missed the 18th if it wasn't for DaDwarf who's adopted the pets for me. 8D I was really excited to see what I got...oh wait...a rare bunny and a late '09 rat (I already have both)? :C
Ah never mind, I really don't want to complain; after some research in the 18th discussion threads I should call myself lucky considering that have been 2010 commons rereleased. O___o;

Yes, this year's been a tiny bit strange. December 2010 uncommons? But why? Also, I've only seen one(!) cucumber and two lions (the second one is owned by a COPPA'd, 0-post late 2011 user who doesn't respond to trades) so far... and I've been searching for a long, long time. I bidded all my valuable pets in an auction for the cucumber, but it was auto'd by a zebra. Well, darn you, Mr. Cucumber. I've never wanted to obtain you anyway... not at all. ;_;
