~Plain Runners are usually earthy colors with stripes or spots to help blend in with the sparse foliage of the plains they live on.~

~The most unique features of the Plainrunners are their very large ears with large tufts inside. They also have a very long tail, some specimens reach four feet long. ~

~Female Plainrunners have small chibi-style wings that float at their side. They cannot fly with them, but are mainly for show. They are always vibrant colored on one side. The more vibrantly-colored and exciting, the more attractive they are to males.~


~ When Plainrunners do find a mate, they are mates for life, unless one gets killed.~
~ PlianRunners are the most beautiful and adorable creatures on earth!!

It is dangerous on the african plains to have vibrant colors for coats, they are strictly carnivors, and the insides of the female's wings are colorful for attracting a mate.

I would name her Uzuritu, meaning only beaty in Swahili, a common language in Kenya, which is in Africa (we didn't see any of them there when I went)

-Plainrunners have short bodies, but their thin, elegant legs give them their height.
-Plainrunners are strictly carnivores, they would not get enough energy from vegetation to survive.
-Bachelor Bands are nomadic and have no territory. When a male finds a mate, he'll leave the Bachelor Band to find a territory with his mate.
-Plainrunners are extremely loyal to their family by nature.
-The inside of a female's wings are the same color as the female's coat color. When she needs to hide, she folds them up against her side, with the inside showing out.
-Diet consists of small prey, like birds, meerkats and mongooses.
