Rin knelt down and held up a slice of orange that remained untouched by the other kittens. She inched toward Shadow and held it out to the small creature.

Suddenly Len appeared and ate it. "Yum."

Shadow sniffed it and was about to eat it when Len took it. She looked up at Len with sad eyes.

A look of horror passed over Rin's face and she slapped her brother hard, without even thinking, it was an impulse.

Shadow clawed Len's leg.

"You have your bananas, in fact you eat them so much, you remind me of a primitive little monkey. No one gets between me and my oranges. Except for maybe this adorable kitten," she told her brother, lifting Shadow into her arms and grinning smugly.
