Holly bit her lip as she pulled her hood up. Her stupid brother got them into a bet with some kids at their school... If they would go into a house, supposedly haunted, and stay their for atleast 2o minutes, they would get 50 dollars... Each. Holly never agreed to this, you see. Nick was the one who arranged this. So here they where, walking down the side-walk, nearly there.

Nick sighed, knowing his sister was probably p***ed off with him. But when he offered 100$ to enter a stupid shed (of a house) how could he resist? "I'm sorry..." He mumbled, and to his displeasure, was replied with a "well sorry doesn't fix things, now does it?" Nick caught his breathe so he didn't snap back, and released it slowly. Ignoring Holly's retort, Nick watched as two figures floated in thye breeze towards them. Before he could recognize the black shapes, one landed on his shoulder, ripping his skin. "OW!" He yelled tapping the head of his owl, Cochitti, in a punishment for drawing blood.

On the other hand, his sister had her owl, Anubis, gently perched on her outstretched forearm. Holly smiled, rubbing the bird's chest with two knuckles. "I forgot they hadn't returned from last night..." She said as she let the owl climb onto her shoulder drowsily. The house was now coming into view, and Holly was beginning to get nauseous.
