Kai was sixteen. But according to Ms. Domo, he had been deemed mentally insane and troubled. Now she was trying do find some mental institute for him, supposedly. The whole orphanage knew about it. But why they never said anything, he didn't understand.

Kai shrugged. Why Ms. Domo had let him keep it he didn't know. But she let him keep all his weapons, including his bow, which he always had on his back. His horse, Thunder, was a different story. But the black and white horse always stayed in the forest behind the orphanage.

Andrea blinked at Ms. Domo, having never heard of such a ridiculous rule before. What if she had left her teddy? Would she be unable to get it? Clutching the ragged bear to her chest and warding away the terrible thought, Andrea's curls bounced as she shook her head, getting up. " I'm sorry, Ms.Domo." she said quietly and extended a hand to the girl who had arrived as well. "Let's go play outside," she said.
