Jack grumbled to himself but walked after her, moving his pace from a fast walk to a jog, almost a run. At least they were nearly there; that meant that he could rest soon, maybe work in their kitchen....

Sonja looked back at the sound of hooves and spotted a horse trotting down the road, Emerald on its back and Jack not too far behind. She let the crew pass her up and stopped, right in the center of the road. As Emerald neared she called out, "Hold up a second, matey. Where'd ye procure a horse like tha'? It certainly ain't yours, an' I'll be collyswaddled iffen I be lettin' ye steal from th' people who're lettin' us stay here so kindly."

Rank on The Maiden: Night Guard. He stays up at night making sure that they don't have any raids from other pirate ships, and hangs out in the crows nest. He also does ship repair if needed.
Personality: He's an outgoing guy and not afraid to speak his mind . He fights for entertainment and will steal anything he has an interest in. Overall nice guy, always minds his manors around women, but when it comes to guys he's always the first one to start a fight. He doesn't go around and beat up any type of person, he always has a reason. When he's not drinking or fighting he's a laid back composed guy. He often takes off his shirt when he's working on ships, it just gets in the way.

He wears the patch so that his eyesight is better at night. Even though he steals for a living, he does side jobs like building ships and is in the fishing business which keeps him fit. His dirty brown hair lays at ear length, falling into his face time to time. His skin is a tannish color from working out in the sun. His eyes are an astonishing deep blue-green that could catch anyone's attention. He wears a white undershirt with his favorite jacket. The jacket has gone through many fights and the right sleeve ripped off in one of his brawls. After the fight, he got the part of the sleeve and attached it together with a belt, the fight also came along with a four inch scar below his left eye. He has both ears pierced with rings stolen from the famous Black Beard himself (not really) He stole them from some pampas aristocrat and he also gave a pair to Kip, his wonderful partner in crime *the little monkey ^^ <3*.
History: He comes from a long line of soldiers. His father is a soldier and his brother is a soldier, he wanted to break the chain. Fighting is his specialty but not in the army, he despises firearms. When he was a child his father was always deployed, not leaving any time to bond. When his father was home all he talked about was his two sons are going to grow up to be strong soldiers. When Markus turned thirteen he was old enough to be enlisted. Markus refused and he and his father got into a huge argument. His father did not except it and told Markus that he was going to be a soldier if he liked it or not. That night he left the house leaving a note to his mother, father and brother, saying that he has shamed the family and they are better off without him. He then hitched a ride on a small ship far away from his family. He learned the ways of a pickpocket to survive and on the way he met his first mate Kip, a female monkey. After two years of stealing, he wanted to do something else. At a glance of the ship yard he knew he wanted to have his profession into building ships. He became an errand boy to an old ship master named Graidie, gradually taking over the business. After building ships for five years he wanted to travel. He gave his business to his second hand man, Read (might come into the story later), who was going to succeed Markus sooner or later. After leaving the Maiden he found his place as a fisherman on the coasts of Irland.
Family: He has a an older brother who is a solder for the navy named Kail.
Crush: None at the moment.
Strengths: ship building,pick pocketing, lock picking. close range fist fighter. fisherman. fixes sails. he likes using his hands. has a good set of eyes, can spot things from a long range in the day or night.
Weaknesses: He can not control his anger at times, he has a drinking issue, he doesn't know how to swim,and he has a weakness for women, he'll do anything for them.

Jack looked at Sonja, then back to Emerald. How to expain this? It was surely a strange sight when she'd sent Emerald to get him, and to see them arrived with Emerald on horseback.
"Emerald wanted ta ride a 'orse. We found one an' asked if we could be borrowin' it fer a short while." Hopefully, that summed everything up without the need for questions.

"A short while, was it?" replied Sonja, stepping forwards and gesturing for Emerald to get off of the horse. "In which case ye'd better be returnin' it. Whoever ye borrowed it from is goin' ter be needin' it iffen they wish ter get home tonight, don't ye think? An' I doubt they'll be pleased iffen the horse they be needin' tonight get returned tomorrah mornin'." She wasn't angry, and her voice was not aggressive, but she was attempting to pressure Emerald into bringing back the horse. Knowing the pirate, she'd just as soon steal the poor beast as give him back.

Jack sighed, but nodded to Emerald. "Ye best take 'im back. She's righ'." Turning away from the pirate, he returned his gaze to Sonja. However, he turned his head a little too fast and this causes the nagging pain in his head from the fall to increase in size, and he winced, his hand shooting up to hold his temple. "Uh.."

Sonja glanced from Emerald to Jack as soon as he put his hand up, slightly concerned. Two of the crew had already been hurt; the captain was close to death. She didn't want anyone else spending time in the infirmary. "We'll have Betty take a look at ye, see if she can't do sommat fer ya bump."

Jack wanted to shake his head, he really did, but considering what had just happened.... "Nay, it's fine. Jus' a small 'eadache. I'm more worried 'bout the cap'n."
Besides he wanted to get to work; it would take his mind away from the pain, and if he could help in the kitchen...

"Aight, iffen ye saw so," replied Sonja. She pointed at Emerald and said, "Ye'd best be returnin' that horse quicklike, 'cause the crew ain't waitin' no longer. Git 'im back to 'is owner fast as ye can, elsewise ye'll be lost an' wanderin' around in the dark, an' we can't 'ave that."

Emerald frowned and nodded. "Alright." she said sadly. She patted the horse's neck and turned it around back towards town. She kicked the horse into a gallop and rode off, fast as lightning. She couldn't stay mad for long like that and she soon was grinning again. "Wooohooo!" she shouted.
