The Red Shield Is Broken... *Accepting*

Haji showered quickly, erasing all the strain from the day away. He went and changed soon after, slipping into a pair of pajama pants that wouldn't make him sweat. The Chevalier padded back into his living room, sitting down on the couch to cool off and watch tv. The television bored him frankly, but there wasnt much else for him to do. He didn't go out and hunt like other Chevaliers did. He relied on blood banks and butcher shops who were willing to serve him for his blood fix.

Karl shook his head, creeping out of the darkness. He scurried along for a moment before finding a suitable victim. She was wandering around, a purse in her hand. Karl grinned evilly and snuck up behind her, grabbing her quickly and ducking into an alley to do his dirty work.

Erica chuckled a bit, standing up and looking around. She had already had her fill for the night, and wasn't really hungry. She listened to the muffled cries of Karl's latest victim, grinning cruelly.

A few hours had passed and Solomon was soon out on the streets again. He had left the hospital for the night, and he knew well enough that the dozens of other doctors could tend to the people that desperately needed their care. He started down the street with his hands shoved into the pockets of his suit jacket. There were a few blood stains on it from operations earlier on in the day, but he didn't even care anymore. He was just more worried about the chevaliers that would be roaming around at this time. "Karl better not do anything rash," Solomon spoke under his breath, not really wanting to get involved just to keep the peace in this little town.

Soon, the woman's struggles stopped. Karl slinked from the shadows and beckoned Erica to follow him. He had left a bloody mess behind, one that would require extensive cleaning. The chevalier went around, finding several other victims. He even broke into a house, terrorizing a young couple. Karl didn't care about what he was doing. It was all a game to him, a game that he always won.


Haji's blue eyes reflected the tv images that flickered across the screen rapidly. He didn't really get what reality tv was... it seemed like a big act to him, nothing at all real. He picked up his remote, clicking through channels until he found the DIY network and stopped to watch a show on houses.

Erica sighed, watching Karl go on his little rampage. She followed him into the house, watching him. She played with the young couples cat as Karl 'played' with his victims. She soon got bored and stood up, stretching and looking at the bloody mess. "Karl, can't you be a bit more, oh I don't know...clean?"

Karl perked up, turning around to face his assistant. "Clean?" he repeated, gawking. "Why, Erica, murder is a messy business." he smirked, licking the blood of the humans off his fingers. "If youre too queasy to handle the sight, then go back home."

Erica walked over, looking at her mentor. "Thats not what I ment." she sighed. "I meant you could atleast try not to shred their throats open like a savage beast." the woman pointed to the dead couple on the floor. "And I'm not going home." she said. Smirking as she ran a finger through the blood and tasting it.

"Oh? But thats the fun way to do it." Karl replied, looking down at his handiwork. "And besides, its my calling card dear. How else would they know that the Phantom had killed this couple if I hand't torn open their necks?" the chevalier asked, brushing himself off as he stood from his place on the floor. Karl made sure all the blood was off his face before turning to leave. "Come now, we have much to do."

Erica nodded, skipping out after him. "I like to eat my meals neatly, I don't want my jacket to be ruined." she said with a grin. She had taken it from a victim, and she quiet enjoyed it. "So where to now, Karl?" she asked, leaning lightly on his shoulder.

Solomon was half expecting to hear screams of terror on his way home. "Guess he isn't as cruel as I thought he was," he commented as he moved to the door of his home and searched around in his pocket for the keys. He soon unlocked his door and vanished inside. He locked it behind him, since he didn't really want a visit from another chevalier.

Lynn was making her way home as well at a rather brisk pace. It wasn't that she was afraid of that supposed killer that roamed the night, but she was more afraid of being mugged. She had a dagger tied to her leg just for self defense. No one really noticed it since it was hidden from view because of her dress. "Almost there," she mumbled as she rounded another corner and continued at a quick pace toward her rather large home.
