"Yeah, I'm a bit cocky...What's your point?"

I lean against the wall of the hallway, my arms across my chest, my hands grasping the soap and medical kit, and my foot tapping inpatiently. I'm not the patient type at all, so I left my postion at the wall and reached up to knock again, but Akane's voice stopped me. I couldn't hear what she was saying, so I focused in on my wofl sence of hearing. I heard, what I assumed was, the last part of what she said. '...Why didn't I realize...' Akane's voice chimed. I blink as that processes through my mind. What didn't she realize? Was something happening to Sarina that Akane couldn't fix? What was she talking about... "Akane? Are-" I began but a crashing sound from the other side of the door cuts me off. That didn't sound good. "Akane!?" I said, my voice rising in concern. I reached for the elegant silver knob to the dark oak door, but I stop myself. I didn't want to barge in, 'cause who knows what I'd wlak into. And if it was a bad time...well, I'm going to be hated for awhile. That's what always happens in movies. I mean, the guy walks into the bathroom when the chicks in there, it's a bad time...and the guy ends up in pain. Ehhh...Wait...What am I thinking!? I push my ridiculous thoughts off the the side and turn the knob, opening the door. I see Sarina looking somewhat better, and then Akane's body on the floor. "Akane?!" My blue eyes widen and I kneel beside her, tossing the supplies off to the side.

Sarina hummed softly as she sat on the edge of the tub, feeling ridiculously out of place as supernatural fae in the surprisingly normal bathroom. Furthermore, the quiet singing was probably a side effect of her delirium brought on by pain and blood loss--otherwise she'd be mortified to hum at a time like this, even though she had an exquisite voice (another quality of becoming a Gray Angel). She winced as Akane bound her wing, the delicate membrane folding easily, but her tight expression loosened. The wing was set back into an unbent position, and no longer twisted in an unnatural stance. It felt great. She marveled at the swift skill with which Akane took care of her injuries. Did she have experience with this sort of thing?

However, Akane's focus seemed to be more and more hazy as time went on. She repeated her question, but Akane's hands were shaking, and soon she stumbled. "Poison?" she murmured, placing a hand to her cheek. Sarina heard Stark's voice, that voice that was quickly coming to represent swift assistance, and he threw himself into the room, tossing some miscellaneous objects aside as he knelt by her. As soon as she registered what was going on, she was kneeling beside the girl too. "What's happening to her?!" Her voice seemed to be coming from far away. Akane's actions now made sense. "Her face..." she pushed some of the girl's hair aside, revealing the shallow cut. "She said poison. Something about poison."

"Yeah, I'm a bit cocky...What's your point?"

I looked up at Sarina to find that she was now also kneeling beside Akane. I blinked confused by what Sarina had said. 'What about her face?' I thought to myself. Sarina pushed Akane's hair out of her face to show what lie beneath it. A mark, that sort of looked like a pink scar or something. I looked at it more carefully and saw that it was more of a small cut than just a scratch. Sarina's voice broke me train of thought and I met her gaze. "Poison?" I thought about how Akane could have possibley gotten posion in her system. Did she mistake it for something else before eating it? Or did a hunter manage to inject her? I decie to ask the Hanyou later. Right now, we need to get her some help. "Well this isn't good..." I said. "You still need to be patched up and Akane, who I'm pretty sure is the only one who can do that, is not doing so hot. I suck at medical sh*t like this. The only thing I can manage is to put a band-aid on a cut." I shook my head and ran my hand through my inky black hair. I meet Sarina's eyes again. "Do you know anything about helping someone who's posioned? All I got is we call 911. But I seriously doubt they'd take in a girl that's half wolf," I said with a disgusted scoff. I hated how people like us were rejects. Just because we had wings, or we could turn into an animal, or control an element, doesn't mean we aren't human still. I sigh. "Let's hope someone in this house has some skill in the med department," I mutter.

Sarina, though she was concerned for Akane's health, was glad that Stark was able to keep a level head. She also remained calm, but her head was spinning. Of course a hospital would suspect something in the evident DNA of a half-canine girl. 911 had to be a last resort. She struggled to remember any bit of information that would be useful. Anything she'd seen on TV, learned from a book, her mother? Mom... she thought longingly. Her mother would know what to do. One time, she'd gotten sink cleaner in a cut on her arm. What had her mother done for that? "Maybe we should clean it." she suggested. "Flush out the poison." Surely it wouldn't work. Surely the poison was too strong. She met Stark's eyes as she tensely waited for his input. She didn't want to bring up the other option--drawing out the infected blood from the wound. That's what they did for snake bites; use a syringe to suck out the poisoned blood before it could travel to the rest of the body.

"Yeah, I'm a bit cocky...What's your point?"

I think about what Sarina had said about flushing out the wound. "Yeah, I guess we could try it. Might as well, seeing that is our only option." I looked over to where I tossed the medical kit and soap. I reached over and grabbed them, setting the two down in front of us. "Hmm...There has to be something useful in here," I mumble as my fingers fumble with opening the medical kit. I grab things that look like they could possibley help our situation, glancing at the labels before either placing them back or putting them off to the side. This is exactly why I'm not even thinking about going to Med School. Me being a doctor=end of the world. I'm just going to put that out there. "So, what do we need to flush it out?" I asked. Yeah I know I sound really intellegent right now, but I have no experience in the med field.
