Loved the new part! I like that this story is different than most of the other stuff on this thread.

(I used to have a fear of phones. A few years ago my mom had to beg me to call one of my friends for homework help for nearly 2 hours. XD)

Moonlight illuminated the courtyard. The thief ran, streaking for the gates. The king ran and stopped at his grand doors, breath coming out in short gasps. "Please don't run away! I won't hurt you!" The young girl stopped, her lips pursed as she turned, her golden eyes amused. "I've heard it all before" she mused. The king drew back, as if hurt. "Please don't leave. I have something to tell you" The girl snorted and turned, the moonlight bathing her body, lighting her blonde hair afire. "There is nothing you could tell me, just go back to your miserable castle and go-" she snapped at him but was cut short as a soft phrase drifted from his lips. "You're beautiful"

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty
in the moonlight
overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne,
she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

The girl turned, her face shone, her golden eyes glimmered. She felt a tugging at her heart, a feeling she had never felt before. "Don't test me" she whispered, but he heard. "I test you not fair maiden, your golden eyes glimmer like the stars and your hair looks as soft as the finest silks. I have never seen anyone as beautiful as you that stand before me" A blush colored her cheeks, the girl dropped her gaze to the ground, studying the patterns of stone. His footsteps drew closer and soon the king stood before her. He reached a hand and drew her face close to his. "Never hide your face, without it I will miss the key to your heart" he smiled. The girl felt the urge to run, but she couldn't, she couldn't bring herself to run away from this man. "Thank you" The night engulfed them.

"Stop that thief! They have stolen the crown jewels! Capture her!" the cries of the soldiers only made the girl laugh more. She flew through the castle, the wind singing through her hair. She clutched the queen's crown to her chest, the jewels poking her stomach. She knew he would come, that was why she had come. The crown was just enough to get his attention. She would see him again. The only man that had ever called her beautiful. The girl stepped out into the courtyard, the sun glared down upon the earth, blanketing it in a veil of warmth. Soldiers lined up along the wall, their guns drawn and aimed, straight at her heart. She smiled, she always got away with it, why should today be any different? "Hold your fire!" the voice she so longed to hear filled the air. The king strode through the gates, atop his chestnut mare. He drew closer, his eyes soft as he gazed down at her. "Hello again, maiden"

The king slid from his horse and stepped towards her. "What have you done now, my fair maiden" she grinned at him and presented the glistening crown. "I stole your wife's crown. She has quite a temper" mused the girl. The king let out a bellowing laugh and touched the girl's chin, drawing up her face to his, again. "Might I just say one thing?" he asked. "Say whatever you like" she whispered, her voice melodic. He drew his lips to hers and circled his hands around her, drawing her into his body. She enjoyed the kiss while it lasted, sinking into him, melting into his embrace. He stopped the kiss and moved his lips to her ear, "I love you, but I can not. Goodbye"

Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
It's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light

"Goodbye..?" she asked, confused. The king stepped away from her, regret filling his gaze as he turned to his soldiers. "She has stolen the crown jewels boys, what do we do with thief's?" "We kill them" came the response, the soldiers sounded elated at the prospect. The girl stepped back in surprise, shaking her head. She dropped the crown and heard it clatter to the ground. "General" the king spoke, voice faltering as he glanced at her. She turned to run and heard the gun cock. She swirled around, and met her death, seeing it in the general's eyes. The gun's firing sound filled the air and the girl felt a pain blossom in her chest. She fell backwards, staring into the sky. And as her life ebbed away and her soul broke the last thing to break was her heart, as she watched the king stalk away. She lay silent, a tear slipping down her cheek as the whole world went black.

At midnight as the Queen gazed from her window, she was shocked to see her husband in the courtyard below. There the king sat, his cheeks glistening with tears as he sat his silent vigil beside the girl. The ravens that circled about seemed to weep for the poor broken love.

Hallelujah.

(I haven't written a story in forever, but this one's been brewing in my mind for a whiiiiile. Finally found faces to play the parts!)

trapped in time [♂] .&. so very alone [♀]

I can't stay anymore, so cold and chill
At first it was fun, but no longer a thrill
I must go now my child, it simply won't do
But I certainly know, that I'll truly miss you

It's not like I expected us to be together forever. I was young, and he... Well, he was ageless. Trapped in unchanging time. I felt bad for him. He claimed he was fine, happy. But his eyes were so sad. So desolate and so alone. Much like me.
So I stayed with him. He never truly asked me to, but I knew that he couldn't be without me. Our life was grand, but it wasn't necessarily anything special. He was best friend, my brother, my advisor, my bodyguard. He was my everything, and to me, he was family.
I loved him so much that one day I wanted to introduce him to my family. They barely speak to me, due to being so busy, but I hoped they'd listen now. He stood proudly beside me as I introduced him, explaining everything. But they claimed there was nobody there. I looked over at him, he looked over at me. He was here. But why was I the only person who could see him?
Then one day he explained to me why he was always alone. He was trapped in time, and due to that, only the one that was meant for him would have the ability to be with him. And when I was born, he felt it. He explained to me that it wasn't like a random discovery or anything. He just automatically knew that the time to seek out the one for him had come. So he traveled for years to find me, and on my fourth birthday a year ago he finally completed his mission.
I didn't know what he meant by "the one" or anything, but it didn't matter. He was my world, the only one I could really be close to, and it didn't matter why - What mattered was that he was here to lead me on my way like a brother leads their baby sister, to protect me as if I were his family.
Because that's what I was to him. Family. And that's what he was to me. We were like brother and sister, though the type that never fights and never goes anywhere without the other. Inseperable.
Then one day he began to fade away. It was the night before my tenth birthday. Frost clung to the windows and snowflakes drifted lazily down, landing gently to create soft beds of fluffy white snow. Icicles hung underneath my windowsill, and the wind outside was swirling about and creating almost a foggy scene. I was happy as I pulled the covers up to my chin and began to go to sleep. But then I sensed something. Something that caused me to awaken and look around with concern.
He was slightly see-through. Like a spirit almost. He looked more hollow and horribly sad than he ever had before, and I knew something bad was happening. "My time has come, child." he said to me softly, slowly.
"What do you mean?" I questioned, looking at him with a confused, worried look.
"I cannot remain here any longer."
And then he began to fade away. I was sobbing, tears running down my face. He held me in his arms and stroked my hair as I cried, singing me a lullaby ever so softly.
A moment later I fell onto the ground, hitting my face as I did. Now with the mix of pain, the tears came more. I sat up, my silky nightgown with an odd golden substance almost like glitter mixed with dust. And then I saw what had happened. Where my brother once stood, now there was only an unearthly swirl of that shimmering gold dust, mimicking the frost that he used to blow from his mouth.

The air was thick with dust, the booming echoes of bombs failing to impact the young woman who stood on the edge of the rubble. Her eyes roved, restless and searching, as the few stragglers stumbled inside the worn-out bomb shelter, frames wracked by sobbing gasps as the clutched their remaining belongings to their chests, family held in looser grips and forming ribbons across the steps.
He was not here.
She bit her lip, troubled, holding the fear at arms length, lest it break down what little resolve she had left. A roaring scream echoed overhead as one of the airship made another pass. She flinched, leaping sideways as the few others above ground dropped, fear blooming in her stomach.
The beast did not slow, continuing on as it made its way to other targets. Pulling herself to her feet, the young woman stood unsteadily, eyes wide as she tried, and failed, to shove the lid back on her fear.
The faint scratch of metal on metal drew her attention to the doors as, one by one, they slid back into place. Taking a deep breath, she stepped lightly from the crumbling steps, feet carrying her into the sea of fiery rubble.
Her breath came in quick gasps as she turned, looking frantically for him. A flash of white caught her eye, and she spun, his name begging to spring from her lips.
Her voice died in her throat as she caught sight of the young man. He had been thrown by a blast, smashing into one of the few walls still standing. His legs were bent at unnatural angles, his his clothing was soaked, a deep crimson color beneath the grey and black ash. Her feet carried her closer, eyes wide and mouth open in shock, hands balled into tight fists at her side.
Tears stung the back of her eyes as she knelt beside his hear, fear screaming in her heart. The young man stirred, eyes dull.
"Allen...?"

He coughed, blood trickling from his lip as he smiled weakly, prompting a watery smile of her own. He shifted, pained, and coughed again, face paling beneath it's thick covering of grime.
"Sing for me...please?"
She nodded once, a jerky bob of her head as he sighed, eyes flickering closed. Wrapping her arms around him as she cradled his head in her lap, she took several deep breaths, trying to hold off the tears for even a moment longer.
"I've heard there was a secret chord,
that David played, and it pleased the Lord..."
Her voice carried over the still air, and for a single moment she could forget all the pain.
"...the minor fall, the major lift;
The baffled king composing hallelujah..."
The young man sighed, little clouds of ash drifting as he exhaled.
They floated, suspended in mid-air as they waited for the inhale that would pull them back to their earthly prison.
It never came.

Her voice trembled, tears slipping down a dust streaked face as she sang on, arms locked in place.
"I've seen your flag...on the marble arch,
love..is not a...victory march;
It's a cold and it's a br..oken..."
With a quavering cry, the girl lurched, head slumping forward to rest on the young man's chest, face twisted with grief.
But his chest lay still.

"...hallelujah..."

This is probably one of the longest things I've posted on here yet...
