Really? So do I XD. I actually only write ghost stories where the main character dies in the first chapter, so weird . I even wrote one that was 50K long! I'm bad at writing short stories though, I ramble too much in my writing to make it ever short.

"Tobias," Anne said sadly, though I wasn't quite sure why. I gave her a small, quizzical look and set down my drink.
In a muffled voice, I mumble, "Wow. It's been a long time since you've called me that." She gave me a small, sharp look, and then a quiet giggle was drawn from her mouth, obviously accidental. I pointed at her excitedly. "Ha, I knew I could make you laugh."
She sat down beside me and pulled the chair over a bit. "Well," She smiled tiredly. "I have to move." I sat up and started looking around, freaking out basically. Everyone on our sea-school cruise looked at me and thought I was crazy.
"You can't leave! Your on a cruise!" She gave me a look, suprisingly. I just noticed I hadn't said a word about me missing her. "Oh.. I mean... i'll miss you too much! What will I do without you?"
"Nice save," She giggled and put a large douflebag on the table, and a few other suitcases. I pointed to the largest suitcase and picked it up, obviously it was huge and heavy. I dropped it frantically and cradled my tired arms.

"What's in this?" I asked her, gazing at the bag again.

She smiled and laughed. "Your gonna laugh, but alright," She opened the suitcase. I had to crane my neck to see.

Shoes.

Honestly? She packed thousands of shoes. Not one shoe missing another.

"Seriously? Are you gonna have a little clothing with your shoes?"

She laughed intensely, and replied, "Well, the second heaviest bag is my casual and fancy-pancy wear, the third heaviest is all my other wear,"

I pointed at the last suitcase, it seemed the lightest.

She smiled. "Well, Tobi, that is my makeup."


At that moment, she seemed crazy. "Makeup? Honestly?" She nodded, yes. "Well, then, what's in your douflebag?"

She hugged me. "Do you think im hiding something? Do you need to go through all my things?" I nodded sarcastically, and she laughed and continued talking. "It's.. memories."

"What memories? Of who?"

"Us."

"Us who?"

She laughed, almost to her full capacity.

"You always know just what to say."

"Don't I?"

Karine and Fayth

Karine heard a voice calling her but her eyes felt too heavy to lift to see who it was. She felt weighted and more than solid, like part of the earth and she thought that maybe she would just sink into the ground, become one with the dirt and mud. She could smell the earth, rich and wet, all around her. There was another smell, too, a metallic tang in the air that pervaded her nostrils with insistent odor, as though it were important but she couldn’t distinguish why it would be or even what it was.

Strong warmth lifted her from the earth and rescued her from the ground that was pulling her into it. There was the voice, sounding panicked again. She wanted to tell him to calm down, that everything was fine, but she couldn’t find her words and her mouth felt like it was wired shut. She hadn’t noticed before that she couldn’t move her mouth.

Now desperate, she tried to flail, wanted to be able to strike out and move for herself. Her body wasn’t moving and instead of feeling securely heavy, she now felt confined within the shell of her own body. The voice was fretting and she couldn’t do anything but lay back and accept the grasp of her rescuer. Dimly, she hoped that he would find the card on her bag that would tell him where to place her...
