Um, no, actually I don't understand. First, how do I not have enough information? I answered all of the questions, and I answered them honestly. If I had known you wanted me to write a novel in answering the questions, then I would have. Second, I don't give out pieces of my writing. I guard it very closely. And my writing style changes too much as I grow as a writer, and it varies depending on the book I'm working on, what "person" it is in, and the character's personality. Frankly, I can't give an accurate sample of my style.

To be honest, I'm kind of pissed. How can you judge me without knowing anything about me? I take my writing more seriously than you probably do, and I don't appreciate anybody putting me down for it. Calling me "lazy" and putting your wording to suggest I'm new at this insults me greatly. I am so infuriated that I am at a loss for words. If I had known there were greater guidelines than simply loving to write and writing books, I wouldn't have even bothered to look at this. But I am sorry that I apparently am not a great enough "author" for you. I guess I might as well tell you now there is already a topic for this.

First off, the clubs have some clear differences. We cater to more than just those who write novels and we also focus mainly on writing and not on books we have read. We also appear to lean towards those on the more literate end of the writing spectrum, though I could be wrong about that. Our club stands on its own and is fine. Please do not attack it.

Second of all, I also looked at your form and it was a bit skimpy and abrupt. You are looking for admittance into a club therefore your application should show effort and enthusiasm. Your answers came off as kind of flimsy thus it is understandable if someone mistakes it for lack of dedication. Also, you unwillingness to offer up any sort of literary example can be a bit off-putting. Your reasons for doing so are valid, though, but you could have offered some sort of sample so we could've callibrated your writing level and style. All you simply had to do to improve your form was add a few more details, such as possibly the titles of a few of your main works, and some formality to your sentences.

Now, to turn around and spit fire at us is hardly appropriate. I understand that your are angry and your reasons are valid, but please be polite. Civil conversation goes farther than diatribe. Since we have no right to tell you how dedicated you are to writing, that means you have to right to do the same to us. Please try to hold back your anger. If you have any issues, simply contact one of us and we can sort things out or go and join the other group which you seem to find better than ours. We are trying to foster a friendly, supportive community of literary intellectuals. There are flaws and we'd love to make any improvements neccesary, but "yelling" at us is only going to makes us irritated.

I apologize if we have caused you upset and hopefully we can work something out.

Someone's quite condescending and backlashy (would use internet term but they'd probably freak)
Effort put into the form was quite minimal, and while I'm sure that you could be quite a good author, I would think it's quite a serious and deep thing to insult how serious someone is about their writing.

On to something else-- I am quite depressed and it's leaking into my book.
I seriously want to just abscond the heck out of my current one XD My character has gone into a state reminiscent of a vegetable that weeps entirely too much. The others are either in various states of dead, depressed, and suicidal.
This was supposed to be a comparatively happy manuscript, compared to others. ._.
Welp.
I suppose this can't be helped.

I hate it when the wrong emotions leak into my characters. The only thing I can really suggest is switching to a different manuscript for awhile. Or scrap the happy idea and wreak havoc!

DR, and Horse:
Yes, DR is accepted, and also, yes, you can accept or decline people, Horse.

Horse:
I just noticed you're a winner of NaNoWriMo! Congrats! I won that last year, but had no time to do it this year. Congrats!

HeartOfCoal:
First- I agree entirely with Horse and DR. Your ideas were minimal and were scattered. Also, you say you are quite literate and say you are more dedicated than us? When, if so, does this dedication come in, may I ask? Did it come in when you didn't write enough information to fill a paragraph? All I asked our CS authors to do was give a small paragraph of their writing. It didn't matter what genre, style, or plot you write. You say you didn't do it because your styles differentiate. Currently, I don't care about that crap (sorry for the coosh word). To be an aspiring novelist, you should be able to give an example of just one of your alleged "many different styles".
Second- I did not judge you. All I did was give you my entirely honest opinion in what I thought about the form. Not you specifically. Would you like me to sugar-coat everything and say "you are the best writer I've ever seen! Join my club! I love you!" I doubt you do. Nor do I, personally. To sugar-coat what obviously is lazy and not at all trying your best, is to make you a fool and an unsuccessful brat. To do that, you'd think your on top of the world, and when you go to publish those same works I sugar-coated, the real world would not be so kind.
Think about it this way- a young man fills out a resume. He does it carelessly and not really his best, nor does it cover all of his abilities. It doesn't even show that the same man is an amazing worker when he needs to be. Instead, when the boss gets the resume, he throws down a stamp that says "declined". The same thing goes with this form. The form is our kind of resume, and we're just as honest.
I hope you do not cause a larger scene than it already is. I can't stand people who think they can walk all over others and expect to be let into everything. I hope you can go peacefully, and forget this club entirely. I'd rather not make enemies of you, and I'd rather not have to sit here and take your defensive jibes.

I wish you luck,
Seasonstar

DR-
When this happens to me, I give up on trying to make it happy, and make every one of the characters go through the most painful. In fact- once in this mood I had a character nearly murdered, and it all paid off in the end. At first, I wanted her to keep living, and to go on as normal once my mood went away, but it became even more amazing. She was scared of the others experiments, and eventually betrayed them in order to get revenge on her near killers. (Lab roleplay)

Seasonstar: Thanks! This is my first year succeeding and I am so happy! Of course, as I have probably told you, my story is crap and my characters are shallow, but about an hour ago I had a brainblast and now my story revolves around obsession, hopefully given it that extra layer it sorely needs. Much editing is to be done!

So, do you think the next vote on the name should break the tie-break and give us a name?

Horse,
Amazing, I wish I could read it now but... spoilers! I can't yet, huh? Well, guess I'll wait for yet another book to enlighten my mind of different styles. Let me tell you- I've been itching to read your books. Somehow your styles remind me of anime in a novel form, which is absolutely amazing for me... Just don't write it backward, okay?

Yes, I do think we should wait for the next vote to break the tie. I myself have thought the same thing. After we name this, we'll vote on mascot ideas, then we'll vote on topics to discuss. Until each of those before the topics, we'll talk at random. Also, even after we have a topic, we can still randomly talk about our writing tribulations and accomplishments.

I also just had an idea! We need a motto. A catchy sentence to make people want to come even more. On mweor, I made a club about customs (you could only understand if you were on there), and our motto was "from the ashes, a better life begins." It sort of happened on accident when my co-worker had to leave the site. We nominated another member, and I PMed her that same message, meaning to say that we'll make the better of this matter. Soon, it caught on and we were all using it. Then C.D.C.T (Custom Dreams Come True) became just a little more organized.
ATTENTION: I might be losing my internet so, so if I disappear unexpectedly for a while, please do not kick me out of any roleplays! I will get caught up as soon as I return. Thank you.

Seasonstar,

Well, I am going to need quite a few editors after I finish the first stage of editing. So, I might be able to send you a few chapters if you are willing to tear them apart. ;)

I like the organizational idea! It's perfect and adds a nice amount of structure to the club, which will probably be a good thing. Once we get the name, mascot, and motto down, I can make a banner so we can start advertising. I'll start brainstorming ideas for, well, everything! I think it is going to be fun putting together a motto. I love doing thought.
