Julianna Rose opened her chocolate brown eyes as the sounds of morning seeped into her country home. Sitting up and yawning, Duke her large brown and black doberman pinscher sat up and stretched his limbs. The woman slowly crawled out of bed and shuffled to her bathroom to ready for the day. Duke could be heard going downstairs as the woman turned on the sink and began brushing her teeth. A few minutes later, she was laying out clothes and brushing her soft black hair back into a neat ponytail. Dressing quickly into jeans and a shirt, she headed downstairs socks in hand and grabbed her worn boots from beside the door. A month before this house wasn't what it was today... it was dusty and had a foul smell, the furniture was rotted out and the floor was unstable. Julia had spent days fixing it back into shape as she did with the rest of the stable. It still wasn't perfect, the pasture fences were still in poor shape but for the most part were fixed. The stall doors had been replaced but work still needed to be done around the barn. The woman sighed as she slipped on her boots and quickly headed over to the kitchen to feed her impatient hound. Duke barked in thanks and began chowing down, Julia took this chance to head outside and to the barn where shuffling of her two horses could be heard. River Song and Ace were beginning to wake as they heard their mistress’s boots on the concrete floor. Julia walked to the feed room which was still under construction and grabbed their specific feed. For River it was oats mixed in warm mash. Ace was orchard grass, a mineral supplement and his own mash of apples and carrots. It wasn't hard to make, and Julia didn't mind as long as it kept her horses in shape. The woman took their buckets and filled their troughs with feed and fresh water. Ace nudged Julia warmly and she kissed his bay nose, River merely snorted and began eating her feed. Julia smirked and placed the buckets back where they came from, later she would place them in the pasture to run and graze and work on the pasture fences. She wasn't expecting any boarders for awhile.. if ever but bills needed to be paid and she hoped the flyers around town would pay off.

Angel sat on a large rock, far from the horse field, watching the horses, who looked like almost ants, graze the grass. The slight breeze ruffled Angel's long, golden, silky fur and her tail waved. It was quiet and peaceful away from the other dogs, and she liked it this way right now. Maybe it would last for longer than usual. The lead dog tended to find her not long after she slipped away from the dog pack.

May was trotting in the field, ignoring a few glares from the other horses. Apparently they didn't really accept her need to run every day. Those horses tended to just stand around eating grass all day. Everything here seemed boring nowadays. May slowed down and walked over to the edge of the fence, looking over the vast other field.

Abigail quietly cleaned out her Arabian's stall. Maple sat at her feet, gently rubbing at the loose muzzle strapped to her head. She stood up and shook her fur out, looking up at Abigail hopefully with pleading eyes. "Please take my muzzle off?" she asked softly, though she knew she wouldn't understand. As soon as her hand reached down, she wagged her tail furiously. "Pretty girl, just wanted attention." she smiled, rubbing her head. Maple immediately stopped her excitement and glared up at her. She grunted and stood back up, thrusting her large paws onto her thigh. Abigail staggered backwards, sighing quietly. "Fine, I'll take that awful thing off." she muttered, unstrapping the muzzle. "Don't get into any trouble, you hear?" she warned the young dog, shooing her out of the barn.
Persephone watched her master quietly, ears pricked. She flicked her flaxen tail and whickered softly, nudging her pocket expectantly. Abigail grinned and searched around, oddly enough finding a peppermint. She took it out of her pocket and unwrapped it, holding it in her palm. Persephone eagerly lipped it up, tossing her head once in happiness.

Angel looked over towards the barn and stood up. She barely saw Maple come out of the barn, but she padded away from to rock to go and meet her. Angel slipped easily and swiftly through the taller grasses of the field and finally reached the other dog. "Morning," she barked quietly. "Where's Duke?" She questioned curiously and quietly, while sitting down to scratch her ear with her hind leg.
