Sootface
Sootface launched himself at the dog, landing squarely between the beasts shoulders. He hoped this would distract the dog from Morningstar, who was underneath the dog's belly. The paws were not the greatest danger, but a heavy enough blow from them could make a cat wind up in the medicine den. He tore angrily at the dog's coat, trying to inflict as much damage as was possible. He hissed in satisfaction as the dog yelped in pain yet again. He was confident that his clan would come out the victors of this battle.
Greyflower
Greyflower was alone. Completely alone. Her limbs shook with grief as she wandered through the forest, the brisk air not penetrating her thick coat. She couldn't belive Osprey had abandoned her. All the time she was with him he spoke of the adventures they could have and how wonderful their life together would be. Now, her belly swollen with the weight of her kits, she had no one, and would never find out what those adventures might be. Well it serves me right, she thought. Barely old enough to take a mate, and I run off with the first cat who shows interest in me. Her progress through the trees was slow, and she had been wandering through different areas of the forest for so long that she was unsure of what direction her former camp was. If only I had listened to Sootface. He was always right. Panting, she gave up her wanderings for a while and laid down among the fallen leaves. Leaf-bare would be coming soon, and there was no way that she would be able to survive on her own with the kits on their way.
Silentpaw
Silentpaw burried the sparrow she had dispatched. So far, her hunting trip had been quite successful. She had two mice, a vole, and now the sparrow. Morningstar should be pleased, and Ashclaw too! she thought, imagining how proud her mentor would be when he heard about how great of a hunter she had become. For the most part, she had forgotten all about Skykit's insults, until she heard the voices again. She hissed, and determined to not let them control her life, she set off to hunt again. Suddenly, she heard a different kind of whisper: the soft rustling of leaves greeted her ears. She could tell that the sound was not that far off. She scented the air, and picked up the smell of another cat, but not one from Whisperclan.
