"When me and him first met, it was like sparks, he was so nice and kind but a few days ago, after the fight with Death, he has just been angry at me, for no reason, he has changed, personality wise, and i know, because i have been with him every day of every week of every month of every year!"

Rain sighed. "I'm sorry Karuski. I really am. He's probably just stressed out. Taking care of a pack...it takes a lot of responsibility...sacrifice. Sometimes you sacrifice the ones you love,not purposely, to help many others. I would know."
Her blue eyes rimmed with sadness and she looked like she was going to cry, but she wasn't.She was out of tears. She looked towards the ground and scratched a picture of her dead mate, Talon, into the dirt.She continued to scratch figures into the earth. Swift. Ice. Snake. Stormstar. Her parents. For the first time in almost a year tears flled her eyes. She ran a paw over the picture until it was gone.

Rain sighed again.She re-drew the picture and pointed to talon. "He was my mate." She ran her tail over him,brushing him away. "He's dead."
She pointed out Swift. "My apprentice." She ran her paw over him. "He's dead." She pointed at snake and Ice. "My brothers....They're dead too. I killed Ice." She pointed at her parents. "My mom and dad. Both dead." She pointed at Storm.Stormstar. "That's Storm...StormStar. He was my best friend. He's dead." She drew about 30 other figures. "My two packs. Both wiped out. All of them dead." She paused. "When i was a leader I became leader during a very difficult time. War was upon us. The other pack chased us into a forest-fire. Many died. The rest fled and were slaughtered by the pack we were at war with. My brother Ice tried to kill me as a pup. My brother Snake tried to save me and was killed. Years later i killed Ice. Talon. He was my best friend. Yet he was more than that. I miss him. Maybe more than the others. He was the one who cared about me. Cared for me. One day he went hunting. I gave him a few tips as we walked into the woods. He said he could take care of himself. It was stupid really -but he got mad and ran off. He was killed by my mother. She always disapproved of him." Rain finally stopped talking.

Lunatra huffed, "I am my own Alpha, and that suits me just fine. I have these entire mountains to myself....all it's prey and all It's lands........except for summer-blossom place of course."

Red sat down in the underbrush. He listened to Lunatra. Silently he took a step closer. His rust colored pelt wasn't easy to hide but living without being seen, sneaking around and stealing prey had made him stealthy. Hi brown eyes were deep and dark. He circled the clearing and finally stepped out into the light. It was as if his pelt had caught fire. Without the shadows his pelt was a deep firey red. His eyes seemed brighter.
