I love wolves, but I'm not obsessed with them, too. I remember loving wolves when I was a child, and I couldn't believe all these fairytales where the wolf is always the bad guy. I always loved the way they live, and how strong they are together.

Oh, and the thing with the "wolf-a-boos": I totally agree. It's okay if you like wolves or beeing obsessed with them, but truly, some things are going way too far. One wolf beeing able to defeat a lion, puma and whatsoever was a good example for that. Plus I have to admit, it annoys me, when people call wolves "cute" and "aaaaw, so fluffy!"
I'm from Germany and the wolves are slowly coming back to us - and all over the internet you can read "OMG! THEY ARE SO CUTE!" and: "People who kill them are so stupid, because wolves are soooooooooo cute" wherever wolves are mentioned. Rarely something else. I mean ... I'm happy they're coming back, but I'm sick of reading these things over and over again. (So, the pups may be cute, but an adult wolf clearly isn't. I prefer calling wolves strong, fascinating and proud, but not cute. But that's only my opinion.)

I couldn't agree with you more. Regarding people calling them "cute" and "fluffy", well, that's their opinion. But yes, I do not view wolves as cute, but instead I view them as regal, intelligent and beautiful.

Saying that, when a wolf submits, it can be rather sweet in appearance to me.
