Claric, "You know just because you're a pirate doesn't mean you have to be a jerk." He got in the row boat. Both he and Dereth waited for Zoey then lowered the boat down into the water to start rowing to shore.

Zoey hopped in, grabbing a paddle. If they thought she was weak and not going to help row, they were wrong. She kept an eye out for the captain, knowing fully well if they were caught they would end up with a bullet in their heads. That just made it a lot more fun for her.
