I prefer Nightwish ( the old Nightwish). Tarja has an amazing soprano voice, Marco is beast at his bass guitar and singing skills, Tuomnas is awesome at the keyboard and writing wonderful, emotional songs, Emppu is hot and awesome at the guitar, and Jukka is awesome at drums. Nightwish is a real symphonic metal band while Evanscene is more mainstream.

These are the band members of Nightwish. I know Tarja is no longer in the band and was replaced by Annette, but I don't want to include Annette.

I've listened to Evanscene a few times and they were pretty good but... They are just NOT comparable to the amazing Nightwish. Toumnas is a genius for writing songs! Tarja has an amazing voice. I've never heard such a beautiful soprano voice. If you like Evanscene, you'd defiantly like Nightwish. Nightwish is a true syphonic metal band. Nightwish has a whole lot of sad songs. Like Creek Marys Blood, which is about the removal of the Indians. Or my personal favourite, Bless the Child, which I think is about suicide. "Why am I loved only when I'm gone? Gone back in time to bless the child. Think of me long enough to make a memory, come bless the child one more time." That's the main chorus of it.

I think I've heard that song before. It was pretty good! But seriously, you should check out Nightwish if you like Evanscene. But make sure it's Nightwish's old songs that had the old singer, Tarja.
