Stephan hesitated, seeing the boy's happy attitude about to deflate. "It's a secret," he said quickly, at a loss for words. "Arowin is waiting for us. Come on, now, you can ride with me." He offered his hand to help Kyle onto Sinner's tall back, a strange look on his face. His stomach fluttered.

Kyle jumped up onto the back of the warhorse happily and willingly. "Aww come on, give me a clue!" he begged him with a cheeky smile. Kyle stroked the war horse's back and then hung on as they moved off.
Rebecca watched them from a distance before riding out herself to go hunting.
