Okay, I don't mean to offend anyone when I say this but the bible says for people not to like the opposite gender... yet, some Christians are gay or lesbian...?

They aren't gay by choice, though. ^^; They are born this way and it was not ever their decision.
Moreover the Bible does not condemn homosexuality, God would never punish those for loving others. I find it incredibly sad that a lot of homosexual Christians are being resented for this reason.

I know! It's not right to 'shun', so to speak, other Christians who are gay. My friend's pastor's son is gay and no one looks at him differently, everyone is ok with it.

Why? Because it's a very heated issue and was told to bring it to the discussion thread multiple times.

Its not that its irrelevent, but this subject will almost inevitably turn into a debate, which is not permitted here. This thread is specifically for prayer requests and the such. Though discussion on other subjects are usually tolerated, this particular topic almost always ends badly, so I am attempting to stop it before it begins. I have actually gotton severel complaints, both here and by PM about the amount of heated discussion and debates happening in a thread where, as it says on the front page, does not tolerate such things, and so I would like to stop this discussion before it starts up again.
