"No!" Nightpaw insisted. "You need the medicine cat!" She mewed, sitting down. "You're gonna be fine. You are giving birth, right?" She asked.

Skysong nodded, "I am but I don't need a medicine cat! They don't do anything but try to soothe the pain! My pain can't be helped. The kits are going to only remind me of more pain of my mate." She said, yowling again.

Nightpaw nodded. "HAWKTALON! No medicine cat!" Sh yowled to him and got some borage and a thick stick. "This is all you need." She set it down.

Skysong refused the borage but took the stick. When she felt a sharp pain she chomped down on a stick and broke it.

Hawktalon nodded and sat outside the den, hoping she would be alright.

"Hawktalon! I need another thick stick!" Nightpaw yowled.

Hawktalon got another stick and ran back to the nursery, giving the stick to Nightpaw.

Skysong yowled and gave birth to a small kit. She yowled again, and chomped on the stick again. "I'm not going to make it!" She gasped.

Nightpaw gave her the stick after she already chomped on it. "Hawktalon, lickl the kit!" She gave him the small kit. "Yes you will! Come on, Ravenfur made it, Nightstorm made it, so can you!" Sh encouraged, pushing the borage to her.

Skysong whacked the borage away with her tail. She yowled again and gave birth to another kit. Her sides heaved and she fellv over sideways. She gave birth to one last kit, before taking her final breath.

Hawktalon grabbed the 3 kits and began licking them, not wanting to see if Skysong was dead or not.

Nightpaw was about to cry. "Skysong, don't go!" She pressed her muzle into her soft fur. "Eat the borage, please, don't go!" She started crying.

Skysong was dead, it was two late.

The three kits lay mewling. Being groomed by Hawktalon.

Hawktalon licked the kits to keep them warm.
