in the books that Malk got the dragons from there are ten colours, females are generally green and males can be either red, gold, bronze, blue, copper, silver, black, white or grey. (ive never heard of a green one) i hope we get a blue one!! i really want a blue one but i reckon the ones from the advent calendar will be one of the colours we already have.

And don't come telling me it's for camouflage. The sky is blue -3-;
And err who need camouflage anyway when you're this size? >_<

I wouldn't call it sexism, really. For instance, in birds, males tend to be much more colorful than females. This picture shows just how different a male peacock is from a female.

So it makes sense to me that the male dragons would come in so many different colors, because a female dragon would definitely consider color when choosing a mate.

And indeed in birds, this makes sense. Females and younglins can camouflage, and males arbour vivid colours, showing how good they are at surviving even though they are this flashy.

But in dragons it doesn't make sense, for what i have said XD

I figured you were joking, I just wanted to try to come up with an explanation anyways. xD And you're right that it doesn't make sense for dragons, but oh well, it doesn't really matter since dragons aren't real. :3

We think they'll probably be white dragons, but they might be another color. We can't know until the finally poke their noses out!
