waves
they dance in front of my eyes
sunlight sparkles off their smooth curves
tantilisingly beutiful

what was that?
a flicker of movment stirs in the dark waters
i feel a prickle of curiousity

a tail flicks above the water
sending a cascade on glittering drops into the air
a heartbeat
a moments pause
and it is gone

but i know it was there
it was a creature of the waves
or was it just the waves brought to life?

my mind tells me to run
to fear this strange creature
yet my heart keeps me standing there
in the watery sunlight

i couldn't remember running to it
but I must have
because suddenly waves were leaping at me
breaking against me
there was a salty taste in my mouth
the water was dragging me under

but i felt strangley calm
the wave creature was back
it smiled at me
and flicked its fins playfully

then i found myself lying on the damp sand
it was cold and dark
but the moon was bright

then the wave creature was gone
but i will always remember that day
the day i was one with the waves

It sounded better in my head, but I still rather like it. ^^
It would be great if someone could lend me the codes to the store horses, just to make it look nicer. C=

??? a n d the grave keeper

To him, it was a normal night. Fog whispered about, leaving a trail of missed opportunities. There was no moon shining or stars glistening, they were all hidden and shy; the spirits were restless and chased the purest of beings away. He wasn't considered one, and thus perfect for the job. There was no pay, only respect from the other villagers. He needed no such money; the community was one- it was such a small town that they ate together and shared their fate together. They could all live in one place, a mansion, but that would just be eerie and the town had enough of it with the graveyard.

He was simply patrolling, making sure everything was just as scary as it needs to be, when he heard a soft noise. It caressed his ears and made him freeze- it was simply so delightful he was swooning.

"Shhh, don't cry, when you wake..."

He bit his lip in a sweet anticipation. It was taking over his mind.

"You'll see the world - me - for what it is - for what I am."

He wallowed over towards a short stone, one that simply said R. I. P. It had no inscription or name, or even a day of death. It was calling his name, so sweetly, he just had to take a peek...

"But be careful, you picked a sad job, you've got a sad life. Let me saaave you, dear grave keeper."

His foot reached a hole; he almost fell in. Numerous pebbles and chunks of dirt fell in. One, though, was sparkling and shining. It was golden, it held riches, it held the astronomical ideal of glory. It fell into the whole hole and then he realized he had to save it! He looked down and saw a lovely figure, a beautiful face; one with androgynous flair and puffed lips.

Image

"You're not saving me, I'm saving you."

Jumping in, he did not see his choice as a mistake. The tombstone filled in with his information:
R I P
the grave keeper
died for the ideal of love
lived for the ideal of death

This has to my favourite couple! My knight and the beautiful princess! Don't let her looks fool you though! Anyway, I think their colours just clash and same with their looks. I've got the serious and the innocent. A very cool contrast that I really love! Plus the knight does have the masculine appearance while the princess does have the feminine look which I think could work out to be a seriously cute couple. <3 I think I will write a story 'bout them! Stay tuned . . .

I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Moonlight illuminated the courtyard. The thief ran, streaking for the gates. The king ran and stopped at his grand doors, breath coming out in short gasps. "Please don't run away! I won't hurt you!" The young girl stopped, her lips pursed as she turned, her golden eyes amused. "I've heard it all before" she mused. The king drew back, as if hurt. "Please don't leave. I have something to tell you" The girl snorted and turned, the moonlight bathing her body, lighting her blonde hair afire. "There is nothing you could tell me, just go back to your miserable castle and go-" she snapped at him but was cut short as a soft phrase drifted from his lips. "You're beautiful"

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty
in the moonlight
overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne,
she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

The girl turned, her face shone, her golden eyes glimmered. She felt a tugging at her heart, a feeling she had never felt before. "Don't test me" she whispered, but he heard. "I test you not fair maiden, your golden eyes glimmer like the stars and your hair looks as soft as the finest silks. I have never seen anyone as beautiful as you that stand before me" A blush colored her cheeks, the girl dropped her gaze to the ground, studying the patterns of stone. His footsteps drew closer and soon the king stood before her. He reached a hand and drew her face close to his. "Never hide your face, without it I will miss the key to your heart" he smiled. The girl felt the urge to run, but she couldn't, she couldn't bring herself to run away from this man. "Thank you" The night engulfed them.

Maybe I've been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

"Stop that thief! They have stolen the crown jewels! Capture her!" the cries of the soldiers only made the girl laugh more. She flew through the castle, the wind singing through her hair. She clutched the queen's crown to her chest, the jewels poking her stomach. She knew he would come, that was why she had come. The crown was just enough to get his attention. She would see him again. The only man that had ever called her beautiful. The girl stepped out into the courtyard, the sun glared down upon the earth, blanketing it in a veil of warmth. Soldiers lined up along the wall, their guns drawn and aimed, straight at her heart. She smiled, she always got away with it, why should today be any different? "Hold your fire!" the voice she so longed to hear filled the air. The king strode through the gates, atop his chestnut mare. He drew closer, his eyes soft as he gazed down at her. "Hello again, maiden"

There was a time you'd let me know
What's real and going on below
But now you never show it to me do you?
Remember when I moved in you?
The holy dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah

The king slid from his horse and stepped towards her. "What have you done now, my fair maiden" she grinned at him and presented the glistening crown. "I stole your wife's crown. She has quite a temper" mused the girl. The king let out a bellowing laugh and touched the girl's chin, drawing up her face to his, again. "Might I just say one thing?" he asked. "Say whatever you like" she whispered, her voice melodic. He drew his lips to hers and circled his hands around her, drawing her into his body. She enjoyed the kiss while it lasted, sinking into him, melting into his embrace. He stopped the kiss and moved his lips to her ear, "I love you, but I can not. Goodbye"

Maybe there's a God above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
It's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

"Goodbye..?" she asked, confused. The king stepped away from her, regret filling his gaze as he turned to his soldiers. "She has stolen the crown jewels boys, what do we do with thief's?" "We kill them" came the response, the soldiers sounded elated at the prospect. The girl stepped back in surprise, shaking her head. She dropped the crown and heard it clatter to the ground. "General" the king spoke, voice faltering as he glanced at her. She turned to run and heard the gun cock. She swirled around, and met her death, seeing it in the general's eyes. The gun's firing sound filled the air and the girl felt a pain blossom in her chest. She fell backwards, staring into the sky. And as her life ebbed away and her soul broke the last thing to break was her heart, as she watched the king stalk away. She lay silent, a tear slipping down her cheek as the whole world went black.

At midnight as the Queen gazed from her window, she was shocked to see her husband in the courtyard below. There the king sat, his cheeks glistening with tears as he sat his silent vigil beside the girl. The ravens that circled about seemed to weep for the poor broken love.

Hallelujah.

she cut your hair

Hallelujah.

I cried.
Yes, I cried. A lot.

This was written so wonderfully. I love this song so much, and this moved me severely. I love this <3
Amazing job. ;c

What is life without risks?
I asked myself that every day. I had everything that many other creatures spent their whole lives trying to get. But I no longer wanted it. Not at all.
---
Princess Kacile! What has the queen told you about throwing your ball gown on the floor! That took a month of weaving!” An angry bark came from the other room.
And adult dog coloured with erupted in to the room. “Yes of course Ms. Drake.” I gave a sigh. Life was dull. I fidgeted with my pink furry paws as the old hag chewed me out for my incompetence. It was part of my day, everyday.
A gave a gasp as she finished, the one thing that would change everything was today, “Be ready in an hour Princess, your future husband will be arriving soon.
Oh yes, I forgot about him. I was being shipped off to marry some so called valiant prince I haven’t even met yet. Just so my father can make peace with the neighboring kingdom.
---
The halls were filled with servants running around with great amounts of food. A good amount of them were peering somewhere close to the window. I was guessing that’s where the King and Prince of the Ocean side were sitting. Dread filled me as my father beckoned for me to come closer.
You look lovely m’dear. The elf wolven dress looks great on you,” he said it loudly so his guests would hear. He didn’t mention that the elves that weaved the dress were war prisoners rotting in the dungeon, only being let out to make pretty things for the royals. I glanced at the King, I’ve met him before when he came to discus war with my father but the young dog sitting beside him was new. His fur was a soft blue mixed with white and light brown. As I looked over he gave me a smirk. That infuriated me, I couldn’t help but let out a small snarl.
Image
What’s wrong daughter?” My father said with a fake supportive smile and without me answering he went on to say “Why don’t you and Prince Sarik go outside to the garden and get to know each other?” My face twisted into a hostile snarl but my father blocked the view of my snarling face, “She said she would be honored Sarik.” My father turned toward me, his face wrinkled up into a snarl, “Go NOW.
I followed my father’s orders and took the Prince’s hand. My skin crawled as I touched him. “You know, you should learn some proper etiquette,” The Prince told me without any expression. “When you’re my queen I will expect you to be proper and wear gold instead of the horrible second place colour.
I put on a fake smile and said sweetly, “When I’m queen I’ll make sure to teach you how to treat a lady.
The Prince said quietly, a slight amount of menace slipping into his voice, “If you talk to me like that again, I’ll make sure to bring your kingdom to its knees, and in the process killing everyone that even heard of your name.” That statement took me off guard and I was silent.
I enjoyed our little talk, I’ll see you at the wedding.” He left with him head held high and a smirk covering his face. I fell to the ground studded. Others may think I have everything but I had nothing, not even a say. Tears fell down my face in a flurry; the fur around my face was soaked within a few moments.
“Swish, swish, swish,” muffled footsteps were sounding near the Princess. I covered my face with my elbow, I couldn’t have anyone see me like this. The footsteps passed me and I felt something feathery brush past my shoulder. The steps were growing distant and I felt a bit offended, most people would attempt to help a sorrowful princess. I lifted my head angrily only to gasp at what I saw.

It appeared seemly as a normal canine but it had a slight glow to him. I would understand that if it was mid day and his fur was reflecting sunlight but it was night and the garden was only lit by a few lanterns. The strange creature also had beautiful white wings attached to his shoulder blades. His slim body and clothing consisted of only the colours white and gold. The only exception of the rule was his long straight silver hair. The strange creature must have been surprised that I was moving because it gave a gasp.
S@#% I wasn’t supposed to been seen!” It was so odd to hear such an angelic creature swear. “Huuuhhh, what to do. What to do. I know, I’ll convince her to not tell any one of my presence! Hm yeah, that’s what I’ll do.” The strange creature finished talking to itself and turned toward me. “Hello young lady, what brings you out on such a cloudy and late night?
The angel’s voice was smooth and beautiful, I only was able to choke out a few words, “I met my new husband today.
You seem to be a bit young to marry. You should give it a few years; you still have much time to live out.
The angel’s sweet words made my sorrow unbearable, I felt as I needed to tell him. It was an odd feeling, I often hated talking to people but this angel’s honeyed words made me my barriers break down. “I can’t choose my husband, it is predetermined.
Ah, so your royalty. You know, you can run from the fate chosen for you. You can flee this land, and never come back.
But I would be killed by bandits!
I didn’t say that was a good idea princess. Your fate is controlled by you as my fate is controlled by me.
He will kill every person that knows my face if I leave,” I answered back, tears starting to well up in my eyes again.
Well that wouldn’t be good. It’s your choice; you can be selfish or sacrifice your happiness. You get out or get farther in the scenarios in your life by choice. Even a scared rabbit can escape from a hungry wolf’s jaws if they get their timing and aim right.
The words that sprang from the angel’s mouth made me smile. “Sir, why do you attempt to create a smile on a sorrowful maiden’s face?
The angel took a moment to answer, “Want the truth? It’s because I am selfish, I don’t want to speak of our meeting so I’m trying to be fair and to do something for you too.
The answer was honest but I didn’t want him to leave me alone to my fate. “I’m stuck on my fate to either destroy my happiness or bring my kingdom to suffer from being ruled by an unreasonable prince. I won’t be selfish and I will marry the prince, but may I ask something selfish of you first?
The angel was smiling, “Anything.
Then, tell me your name.
I cannot do that.
Then how about telling me your business here?
I cannot do that.
Then may you stay will me and give me a lifetime of happiness that would be absent with my life with the prince?
The angel hesitated for a moments then answered, “Very well, I can’t stay for a life time though.
You can stay for mine; I plan to steal my life soon after I marry.
Very well, your third wish is my command.
What may I call you angel?” I asked with a giddy smile, for once something in my life was changing into a favorable outcome.
Call me Prince, I’ll be the one that you’re missing in your short life.

Should I continue?
