Cal looked back at him when he gave her a "Are you insane?' look. "Don't look at me like that," she grumbled, crossing we arms and looking away. "I'm not insane. It's a possiblity. You never know." She watched as the Blue lady left and looked at Will, watching him enter the room. She hesitated by the doorway, not sure if she should enter the Master's room or not.

((ShatteredSoul Yeah, I know. Heh. Well he is from another one of Sijach's RPs that kind of died out. It really made more sense there than it does here. But eh, I figured I'd keep him the same.))

Jordan
Sitting on the bench, Jordan makes himself comfortable, prepared for a long wait as Aurora begrudgingly starts looking through the book. He picks up his book, and once again opens it to the page that contains his name. Looking at the names of his parents brings him a bit of sadness, and more than a little nostalgia. He has no doubt that his parents have long since passed beneath the wheel, and though he never really regretted staying the tower, he still feels a bit guilty for never having seen them before they died. Well mum and dad, I hope you had a good life... I wonder if you ever had more children? I doubt the tower would have bothered to note that if they didn't have any magical talent.

His thoughts are interrupted when he senses a sudden change in Aurora. Getting to his feet, he looks at her pale face and is instantly worried. "Aurora? What is it? Are you alright?"

Will stepped into the room, expecting Cal to follow him but within a moment he realized she was still hovering at the door. He took a step back and grabbed her hand, pulling her in behind him. "You're my witness. You're coming." he said. He didn't act like he was afraid but in truth his heart was pounding in his chest, he never talked to the Master before... well he had but it had been about work not saying someone had tried to attack another wizard.

Aurora didn't even look up from the paper... it must be a joke of some sort, some mean wizard pulling a dangerous joke on her and her 'parents'. Aldra and Eridod. Aldra and Eridod. Those weren't her parents, the two didn't get along, they always argued over... anything and everything, especially responsibility. She looked at the names, still not finding words for a couple more long agonizing moments. "This... this is some kids cruel version of a joke... right?" she said hopefully, finally pulling her eyes away from the page to look up at Jordan desperately, they couldn't be true bother for her sake and theirs.

Jordan
When Aurora doesn't answer at first, it takes Jordan a long moment before he even considers looking at the page. How... could this be bad news? He thinks, looking down at the book with the many branching lines and small text of names. He has to squint to see it clearly, and it takes him a long while to locate what it is she is looking at. He finally locates it about the time Aurora finds her voice, and he can't even look away to answer. What... What is this? Such a thing has never been heard of... And if it is true and word got out... Oh no, it could bring the tower down from the inside!

Jordan swallows, and lifts his head. Meeting her eyes for a long moment, he looks at her face, trying to discern any possible feature that would link her to either of the powerful wizards listed. Eventually though, he looks away and clears his throat. "True or not Aurora, the more important thing is what you plan to do with the information you have discovered." When will I learn that things that have been hidden are hidden for a reason? Foolish old man, you should keep your curiosities to yourself!

Sorrin
Walking down the long hallway, Sorrin could feel the nervousness in him continue to rise, and he almost turned back. Oh, common, you can do this. Quit stalling and just get it over with! After pausing to chastise himself, he eventually makes his way to the end of the hall and looks out the door. The evening courtyard lies beyond, the sun having set not too long ago it still lightens the western horizon with a deep orange glow. A shiver runs down his spine at the sight, but he takes a deep breath and steps outside.

Having spent his entire live underground, Sorrin still finds the idea of not having a roof over his head unsettling, though not nearly so as the sun, which he still avoids at all costs. Feeling a bit better once he outside and doesn't float away into the endless abyss above him, he ventures a timid look upward. Stars have just started to appear, and looks at the tiny points of light with no small amount of wonder. Seems as though the world is a much bigger place than I thought... His wings twitch a bit behind him, though he is curious what it would be like to fly through the unrestricted air above him, he is also terrified by the thought. He has seen the way the wind tosses the trees, and his imagination easily puts him in their place.

Cal stumbled a little when Will suddenly pulled her along with him. She shook her head and caught herself, keeping pace with him. Callista studied the Bailtor as they walked. He didn't seem to be afraid of going to talk to the Master. "Wait. Witness?" Was she actually going to have to speak in front of the Master? Suddenly, she felt herself stiffen with fear. She'd never talked to the Master and had had no intention of ever doing so.

Aurora looked back down at the page wanting the words to go away, wishing she hadn't been so curious in the first place. It didn't make any sense... No it made perfect sense she just didn't want it to. Eridod and Aldra, her mentor and the Master being her parents. She knew wizards aged much slower than normal people, years having no effect on them as long as their magic held but they would have had to be young... very young for her to be as old as she was. "I'm going to make sure it isn't true." she said finally, grabbing a bookmark and shoving it between the pages before slamming the book shut and getting to her feet.

"Well I can't just say a golum attacked me then suspect someone sent it after me because they didn't. They sent it after you." Will tried to explain, following the small corridor to the Master's office. The man sat in his desk a hand to his head, looking exasperated, tired and just confused. He looked up as the two entered his office, practically jumping to his feet and straightening out his robes. "Um... Hello... I..." he sighed, gathering him barings "What is it I can help you with?" he asked, his voice still sounding extremely tired.

Cal shrugged, "I don't know how this stuff works," she said, still following him. When they reached the Master's office, she stopped, staying behind Will as she watched him. Callista studied the man with her dark eyes. She felt sorry for him. He looked tires and disheveled and just confused.

Jordan
Jordan places a gentle hand on Aurora's shoulder before she can turn to leave the room. "Aurora please, wait just a moment." He says, looking at her over the top of his glasses for a second before continuing. "I'm sure that you have learned by now that knowledge is power. And this is knowledge of the most precious kind." Though his voice takes on a lecturing tone, there is a bit of a glint to his eye, belaying the cunning of a much younger man. "I'm not suggesting that you not seek the truth, but perhaps you should consider the value of what this knowledge can bring before you share it, and to whom and how you choose to bestow it." Jordan studies her face, hoping the young wizard is wise enough to understand his implied meaning without him having to go into too much detail. To have such leverage with both the Master and a Head... It is doubtful they could truly deny her anything she would ask.

Sorrin
Eventually pulling his eyes back down from the sky, he looks around for a moment before he finds what drew him out here in the first place. A largish bush full of thorns with glossy dark green leaves, that sports a profusion of bright orange berries. A smile crosses his face as he instantly recognizes the fruit. Hawthorne... The berries are perfect for making widow's warmth potions and waxcliff. They were so rare down in the Dark, but here they just grow out of the ground asking to be taken! Happily, he pulls a small bag from his belt and starts collecting the berries, careful of the thorns that surround them.

Aurora shook her head, brushing Jordan's hand off her shoulder. "I don't want to tell anyone. I just want an explanation. You don't know what it's like. To go to bed in that orphanage every day thinking no one cares about you, no one wants you. That you're not good enough for them, that there's something wrong with you. All I want to know is why they gave me up." she said coldly, the tears bubbling in her eyes as she remembered all those cold days in the orphanage. All that time spent wondering why me? What was so wrong with me that I didn't deserve anyone to tuck me in at night? All that time wishing it would just come to an end. She had grown cold there in that damn orphanage, she had learned love was stupid and just ended in heartbreak and loneliness. She'd learned it was best to stick with yourself, all important things, they had changed her but in her view it had been for the better.

Will took a deep breath as he approached the Master with a bow. "I came to report... well a golum acting of its own accord or at least not mine." he said rather quietly, he was still a little intimidated by the Master even after working with him for so long. "So basically a golum attacked someone, I'm guessing Callista, and you need to report it along with all the other strange things going on. I'll be sure to make sure it gets into my pile of things to deal with but as you can see much has been going on in the tower and no everything can be dealt with right away." he said rather rushed, running a hand nervously through his ragged unkempt brown hair.

Jordan
Seeing the tears brimming in Aurora's eyes, Jordan is immediately sorry for his callous words. Are you really so old that you forget what it's like to be alone old man? He chastises himself, and looks away from her. For all her talent and ferocity, he finds that he has neglected to remember just what Aurora is. A young woman, who has had to spend her entire life wondering just why she wasn't good enough for her parents. Though he wants to comfort her, he has no idea how and simply drops his arms to his sides with a sigh. "Aurora, just be careful. Sometimes finding getting what you've always wanted... Well, it doesn't turn out the way you hope."

Sorrin
Happy with his discovery, Sorrin decides to continue on through the garden to see what other wondrous things it has to offer. This place is amazing! Are all these plant put here on purpose, or did they just happen to grow this way? After leaving Under Dark, he had little time to sop and think about the vegetation that he passed as he fled, but now he finds them all fascinating. Slowly making his way forward, he stops to pick samples of anything that he finds unfamiliar, planning on testing them later when he has time.
