lionclaw nodded then stared hat him " dogs!?"

"It was only one. And it was about my size too." Ironstar replied with a small shrug. He would see the medicine cat about his wound later, but he didn't want to worry Lionclaw or nany other of his warriors.

lionclaw looked at his leader " were were you?"

[wolfie.]

Ironstar sighed. "I did get cought in the flood, but if that had been the only thing that happened, I would have been back sooner." he said. "I got cought up in the water while trying to save Thunderclap. I managed to get him out, but I was drug down into the water. As the water closed in on me, Thunderclap tried to get me back up, but I was already gone. Everything had gone black to me by then. I was unconcious. When I woke up, I was inside a twoleg nest." Ironstar's jaw clenched. "Another cat was prodding me awake. He was rather pleased when I woke up. He told me that his 'housefolk' had found me nconcious in the forest. He wanted me to stay, but I convinced him to help me get away. Once his twolegs were gone, he helped me slip out. He told me the safest way to go was through other twoleg yards. Stupid peice of fox dung!" he spat. "He told me there was a dog in this twoleg nest, but said it was always inside. So, I listened to him and once we were about halfway through the yard, a nasty little dog came bolting out at us. The other cat wasn't as lucky as me. He was killed by the dog. I managed to get away in time. I made my way home from there." he meowed, worn out. "Now let me rest." He curled up in his nest.

lionclaw nodded, backing out of tje leader den.

Ironstar fell asleep easily, ignoring the stinging in his leg.

Goldenshine growled and pushed herself up to her paws, nudging her way in between them. "Stop it!" she snapped, with more ferocity than expected. "I'm right here, you know! Instead of having little mouse-brained fights with each other, I think you should focus on the more important things. Like, shortage of prey after a devestating flood, or Clanmates that were actually lost?" Her amber glare settled on Sandbreeze. "You're wrong - Snakestrike isn't the one acting like a kit. You both are. Now, just set aside your differences and try to work together for once. Dear, StarClan." She added at the end, muttering.
