Silverpaw pricked her ears and bounded after her sister. She wanted to sit vigil for iceshadow, but her sister looked so sad, she couldn't bear it.

"Good" Ironstar meowed. "Is there a patrol out yet today?" he asked. He sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. Some patches of fur was missing from his tail. He had a gash on the inside of his hind leg, but it wasn't visible. Dirt was causing it to get infected.
