I'm going to tell you a story of the true meaning of christmas and how it is not about recieving but giving.

Derek put on his hat,coat and boots.He opened my door to walk out and do his daily christmas shopping. Derek sighed and walked out and down the long street into town to do his daily shopping for his mother. He lived with his single mother as his dad died in a car accident soon after he was born. Derek hated the holidays because he and his mother only had enough money to buy grocerys each month and no extras.He had to drop out of school to work to raise enough income to pay rent and for the grocerys.

Derek walked into the store that was well decked out with christmas decerations.He bought the usual bread, apples, milk,butter and cheese.He then stepped out of the store and saw a girl,his age,sitting on the side of the road against the store. He sighed feeling lucky for the things he had. "At least i'm not living on the street like her"He thought walking past her and up the road back to his mother.He sighed carrying the grocerys and his mind wandered back to the girl on the side of the road.

When he arrived home he dropped the grocerys off in the kitchen and walked into his room and layed on his bed thinking about the girl. "I think my life is horrible but that girl doesn't even have a home, or food like i do"He said to himself "Maybe I can't my life better but i can make hers better" He smiled and fell asleep for the night,thinking about what he is going to do tommorrow.
