Is lineart edits needed?: Nah, unless you feel like making the back prong of the antler fall back, like a regular elk's does.

Some questons about the character;
His tail isn't visible in the ref (I asume that he has the normal stumpy kind of tail?), so what colour is it?
And, his ears looks a bit pointy, are they unusually pointy or more like normally elk roundish?

His tail's the same color as his rump.
And I think that's just the original lineart's pose - the ears are turned back, so they look quite pointy. They're really slightly rounded, yeah. ^^;;
