Song walked down the sidewalk, her wings tucked neatly along her sides. She flipped her hair back over her shoulder, looking in the windows of stores.

Gemcutter Stared at the twisted bit of metal in front of him. It had been a good Idea, he was sure. now if only he could remember... Sighing, Gemcutter put down the tongs and clopped into the main part of his shop. His ideas were like birds, never staying in one place. at least he had enough pieces made to make a sizable prophet when ponies came in looking for gala jewlery, but that wan't it. He was going to be alone again on valentines day.

Song walked past Gemcutter's shop, and paused, looking at him through the window. He looked down as well. She retreated a few steps, and walked in the door, flipping her golden hair back over her shoulder.

Gemcutter looked up at the pony who had just entered his shop. She was pretty, and Gem vaguely recognized her as Golden Song, the singer. He blushed (Unusual, as he was not usually swayed by attractive customers) and then, something snapped into place in his head. Gemcutter began to dance, clopping up and down, mane bouncing and muttering "ohhhhh...ohhhhh... Idea..." then he grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and set to work before the idea slipped away.

Noble Heart landed, softly, in the center of ponyville, and began to look for the tailors shop. Sometimes, she regretted being a guard, for all the princess's silly errands. With an 'ah,' she entered the dress shop and said, in a monotone "I come to pick of the orders placed by their magesties, Princesses Luna and Celestia."

Song looked around the shop in wonder, at all the beautiful metalwork and jewelry. She smiled, seeing Gemcutter drawing something. She silently ventured closer, peering at his drawing. Her golden hair fell off her shoulder, falling like a waterfall of curls down her neck as she approached him, bending her head down to see what he was drawing. She smiled softly, watching the artist at work.

Gem looked up, and smiled at Song. "You just gave me a great idea! I need to draw it before it slips away. There." he held up a sketch of a necklace with a curling chain and an intricate music note-like pendant. "I don't believe we've been formally introduced. I'm Gemcutter."

Song smiled. "Hi, I'm Golden Song, but you can call me Song." she said, looking at the beautiful pendant drawing. "That is truely amazing." she said softly. "I love art, especially drawing." she said, her green eyes shining softly. "You are a true artist." she said smiling.

Gem blushed again "Well, art isn't the thing I like most, that's my work. I've heard you singing in the park. You're amazing!"
