Ashton nodded, he had training to do and had to do it, he watched her walk and then turned slightly "Farewell." he said softy before making his way.

When I got back to the manor, I stopped short. Emma, the maid and my motherlike figure, was crying into her hands, perched on a stool. Immediately, I set down the bucket by the door carefully, then rushed over. "Emma, are you alright? What happened?" my hand was on her shoulder, my eyes alarmed and alert.

She looked up at me, her lip quivering. "Honey, you've been betrothed."

I stood there, shocked and frozen, my back straight like a rod. When I found my voice, it cracked slightly. "W-what?"

"You're marrying someone. A prince, Juliet." Emma's voice wavered slightly as she wiped her eyes on her dirty apron. (can this be daniel?)

That's when everything went black.

Ashton was training in the garden with an instructor, he knocked the sword out of his instuctors hand and put the tip of his sword under his head "I believe I have one the battle" Ashton grinned.

:Juliet:

When I finally came to, Emma's red, tear-streaked face was hovering over me, concerned. "Juliet?" she asked when I opened my eyes. I just nodded.

"Sweetie, I'm so sorry. The manor's lord did this." she stroked my hair back gently. "I'll miss you," she whispered softly. My heart throbbed. Leaving Emma? How could I do that? She'd always been there. Always. And now I was leaving her.

Slowly, I sat up and in a cracked voice, I said, "I'll be back later. I need to talk to a friend." with that, I stood from the creaky wooden floorboards, pulled my cloak on, and headed out to see Ashton. The hood of the cloak covered my hair- the guards might recognize me. I got in trouble for doing minor things- jumping on the rooftops, climbing trees, etc.

When I got to the castle, I was permitted entrance. The guards followed me at a slight distance of course, but at least I was in. I'd decided I wanted to talk to Ashton for a while, so I tried to look for him.

Ashton moved his sword from his trainers head and put it back into its case on his belt with a smile.

I continued my search, not finding Ashton yet. Was he even here?

Ashton laughed at his instuctor who pretended to die "Oh! my foe was not much of a warrior" he teased before his instructor got up and raised his sword "I live!" his instructor called then Ashton drew his sword out and the fight began.

Finally, I found Ashton sword fighting with what looked like an instructor. I chuckled softly at them as I watched from behind a neatly trimmed hedge. The guards must've decided that if Ashton was armed he'd be okay, and they'd left.
