Lunar tried to sit up again, stronger now and stayed up. She smiled, realising she was gaining strength. She got up shakily on all fours and stumbled out of her den. She walked to the foodpile and took a little meat, then dragged it to the nearest water source and ate and drank her fill.

Kasper stumbled down the steep river bank towards the sound of lapping water. Sniffing the air, he padded behind a clump of bushes and watched Lunar drink.

Lunar finished drinking and licked the water from around her muzzle. She sniffed the air and she could scent the usual scents, prey, berries from the bushes and..Kasper?
