Ah yes, Raven. She hasn't really made an appearance has she? I'll fix that in a future entry. I almost forgot about her existence, to be honest. O.O

Sadly, no. I mean, especially with the pairings... I need to narrow down Lux's options for a possible mate. Then again, I don't want to break my readers' hearts. *Sigh* Decisions, decisions...

Well, Derek has been trying to kill her, confusing her, and he couldn't even see that she had liked him for what, four years? I think she should end up with a new character or something 'cos Shay killed his own brother? What is up with that!?

I need to attend Maro's funeral.... How could you do this Xela? WHY??? WHY!!!???

Dear SJ,

It's way later now. I'm sitting on a cliff in the mountain's behind Shay's house, staring off into the distance. It's really beautiful up here. And yes, I did fly to this spot.
Maro is gone forever. My heart won't let me grasp that, though. I want to believe he's still alive, but I know that in reality he's not. I remember that awkward Starbucks date we had a long time ago. Hah, it was almost funny if you thought back on it. But now... If I'd known Maro would die, I would've treasured that awkward moment.
I don't know why I'm so heartbroken, SJ. It's not like we were that close anyway. Or maybe it was because he gave me the love that Derek didn't when I needed it most.
Anyway, enough of the present. The sun is shining down on me, warming my wings. I'll write about earlier after coming home from the funeral.

As I walked back inside Shay's mansion, my phone started to ring. The caller ID read "Raven." I slid the bar to answer and said "Hello?"
"Hey Lux! It's been forever! Where the heck are you?" Raven said a little too loudly. I had to hold my phone a couple inches away from my ear.
"In a mansion in the mountains, and I'm not joking," I replied, taking a seat in one of the armchairs by the fireplace.
I heard shuffling on the other end, and then Raven said "What's been going on in your life since you've left? What's the 411?"
I laughed weakly. "Oh, you wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"Go ahead. Shoot. I'll listen."
"Okay. It all started when I punched Sapphire in the nose..."

So yeah, I'm sitting here on the cliff, pondering everything that's happened. I realize now that life takes crazy, unexpected turns. One moment you have something, and then the next it's gone. One moment you're just a normal teenage dog trying to survive four years of high school, and then the next you're supposedly working for the government.
I've lost a friend and a sister these past few months. Not to mention that I've been turned into a winged dog and found that the Elites are a bunch of phonies. And my old friend Derek... He's the real enemy here. Why didn't I see that? I loved him... I thought he was perfect. The one for me. But now I realize that he's not.
Like they say, love is blind.
Speaking of which, I need to go. Dinner's almost ready and there are more important matters to discuss, like my love for food. Food is good. Especially bananas.
Oh! Last sheet of paper. Time to buy another SJ. (If Geon and Gam hadn't used up those couple pages while I was gone... Grr.)

Anyways, farewell SJ. I hope we can meet up again in the future.
