Alexander nearly fell as he felt the arrow go in his leg. He kept on running but soon felt light headed as he lost blood. He knew fainting in the middle of battle only meant death. He tried to get away, but knew it was pointless as he saw an enemy doming towards him on horse back. He started to shrink back, and nearly screamed as he felt someone pick him up and run. He tried to look at his rescuers face, but all he saw was his helmet. He soon felt his rescuer slow down as they reached an empty clearing in the forest next to his home kingdom. The forest was spinning, but everything stopped when he felt a short pain. The man had pulled the arrow out of hi leg. He soon spoke after the arrow was out of his leg. "I really must thank you sir for-" he stopped in shock as his savior pulled of his his helmet, only to reveal beautiful pink eyes, and long blonde hair. "Well?" She said when she saw him starring. "Are you gonna finish your sentence?" she asked with a smirk on her face.

Unicorns are a rare and unusual breed. Even some of the most ancient spirits, the Dryads, had only seen a few in their long lives.
No one knows why Unicorns are so rare, but it is said that they were hunted to the brink of extinction long ago. The legend says that the few that remained hid themselves in a secret realm so they could be free.
Centuries have passed since the last Unicorn was seen, and even that sight was short lived, the creature soon vanishing into thin air. Some say that the one who saw it was delusional, mad, or simply naive.

Aki had grown up believing that Unicorns were extinct and that the "sightings" were nothing more than someone wanting to believe in the old myth that had long passed. So the day when he saw a strange glowing while he was walking through the forest he could hardly believe what he found in it. It was unlike any magic he had seen previously, and he was fascinated by the strange golden glow that seemed to pierce the thick forest.

When the blinding light finally dissipated, Aki found a strange, beautiful creature laying on her side, breathing heavily. She was unlike anything he had ever seen before, from her hoofed feet to her strange long tail to the horn that protruded from the middle of her head. She was the most beautiful creature that Aki had ever seen, and he had to know her.

"Knightmare.. you will fall down to those who are uncompromisingly stronger than you.." Knightmare woke up from the strange nightmare. He looked around. He was still in his den, the little cat-tailed and whiskered-faced pup curled up beside him. His face straightened out with a relaxed expression.
A little sigh escaping his muzzle, he nudged the pup awake. "Asesino.." he murmured gently. The pup, namely 'Asesino', woke up. His white eyes showed pure confusion to his surroundings. The little pup had a faint vision due to it's blinding white figure of eyes. He jumped up with a small yip, and than followed it up with a mysterious chuckle.
"Time to get going.." Knightmare mumbled. He was responsible of taking care of the pup. The mother had been mysteriously murdered. The pack gave Knightmare the opportunity of raising the pup, which he had gladly accepted. Now this strange pup was all his, and they were now traveling away from the pack to insure that this little pup was strengthened to be a fighter for the pack.
Asesino nodded as he trotted alongside the adult wolf, who was just a mere 2 years old. A cackle escaped it's muzzle, an evil cackle swirling with dark thoughts. Knightmare grew jittery, but he didn't show it.
Asesino looked up at the grey pelted adult wolf. "Have you ever wondered what the name 'Asesino' meant?" he asked in a little puny voice. Knightmare nodded in answer. "Oh yes. It sounds like a nice name.."
Asesino stopped walking. He glared at Knightmare, a smirk reaching his muzzle. He lunged, landing on Knightmare's back and biting in the flesh. Knightmare yelped in pain, and in a swift bite in the pulse of his neck, he was laid down on the fresh soil, lifeless.
Asesino smirked. "It means death.." he whispered onto Knightmare's cold body.

Years passed, that little pup still going around and tempting adult wolves to be his guardian. And each day, the leader of the pack reported that one of the packmates has passed away.
As the pup grew up, he collected the bodies of the dead wolves. He just wanted one to understand that he needed real love. Not one of these bodies had every truely loved him. So he walked slowly away from his pile of bodies, slinking off into the shadows.

The horsemaster stood in grand hall, his handsome features toying with a grin as his eyes found the cautious form of Trinket lingering by the door.

"Couldn't stay away, Trinket? Really, I'm flattered." Riker said lazily, allowing his gaze to hang suggestively around the young woman's lips. Trinket blushed, turning her face away from him.

Riker sighed heavily, outstretching one hand out to her. She eagerly leapt forwards to take it. "Listen, sweetheart. You and me can always have some fun together- our chemistry is.." He paused thoughtfully. "strong. But you have to remember that you are a maid, and I am the King's horsemaster. I am above you, my dear."

Trinket linked her fingers around his, her bright eyes searching his face devotedly. "Yes, Riker, of course. I love you, I won't tell anyone about us."

He smiled. "Good girl. Now, why don't you run off and clean my boots; we'll have dinner later."

Without another word, Trinket hurried off with an adoring look over her shoulder.

As soon as she left the room, her face changed. Lips wrought with a sly smile, she slipped like a shadow from the hallway. Her hand briefly fingered the tiny vial of poison bound to her belt.

Oh Riker, my dear. If only you knew...
