About Torchwood - I've watched every episode, and personally, I love it. Mind you, it is VERY dark, violent, and adult. Don't say I didn't warn ya. If you're old enough, I'd definitely recommend you watch it. And start with Season 1 :)

Torchwood is about 20% gore, 70% sex and 10% nice character development, good characters in general, and weevils. And the gap between Gwen's teeth. And also sex.

So yeah, proceed with caution. It's well worth it, the character development is lovely. Though I was whelmed by Miracle Day.

SJA on the other hand is my favourite thing. Is it because I have squishcrushes on all the characters? WHO KNOWS (spoilers: yes, yes it is). SJA is 40% nice character development, 20% characters good-naturedly making fun of one another, 20% really blatant references to Doctor Who, 10% utterly awful props and 10% terrible plots. I've been rewatching it lately and I'm up to the end of the third series. It is so squishy <3 I highly recommend it too. Ignore the plots and focus on how lovely the characters are if it helps.
