Oekaki Collaboration Board

This has been talked about on the CS Trends thread (I claim no credit for the idea), that it is becoming more and more common to have an 'Oekaki Collaboration' where different members collaborate to create their own oekaki. It is a little bit spammy for members who want critique on their own art, and whose art is continually pushed down to the bottom of the thread because of that.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but perhaps we could have a separate board in which all oekaki collaborations between members can go? What do you guys think of this idea? Or should they just stay where they are?

I've noticed that there is a huge spike in the collab situation recently. This has probably been mentioned many times before, but seriously, I cat even scroll down the sketches and experiments page without encountering like 10-15 collabs *~*

Might as well make a collab section on the oekaki at this point.

I just scrolled down the sketches & experiments board and found twelve collabs on the first page.

This is a great idea. Collabs are by their nature a bit spammy and it would be a good idea to have them walled off in their own section.

I so agree, it is very spammy and rather annoying to deal with all of them.
I know they can be fun, but a separate forum for them would be wonderful.

Nah, I think red lining should stay in sketches and experiments, I actually haven't seen to much of it and I'm not too sure how related the two things are. I don't know... /my two cents

Actually, I agree with Vampicorn. They are both things that people want others to edit, but they aren't colouring things like in editable oekaki, and having a forum just for these two would make redlining and redliners easier to find. And it's not entirely your choice to just say no to a suggestion, ultimately it's Tess and Nick's choice, just shooting it down with no reason is, well, yeah.

Meh, I don't think so... collabs aren't exactly "editing", they're working together on a piece of art. Redlines are for people who want help. I think redlines should either stay in Sketches or have their own forum, but not be mixed in with collabs if there is a new forum for them.
