Kasper growled in warnong. He crouched down and shoved lunar backwards into the thicket of bushes. With his mind acting fast he yelled nout "Run! Behind you! In the thicket you're in there is a tunnel! Trust me!" He decided to distract the man while Lunar had the chance. Rather he was hurt then her. Running around the edge of the hollow he barked loudly. the hunter turned his attention towards kasper and grinned a wicked smile. lifting his gun to his eye, he shot a single bullet. Kasper moved out of the way just in time.

Serena smiled at him. "Thank you!" she said looking deep into his eyes. She leaned on him to keep her from stumbling off. She couldn't wait to get back to camp.

She rose her head from her pelt, and turned to look at the pup. Her beetle eyes shone, and a wide smile was spread across her face. Her tail began thumping as she let out a thankful bark. 'Nova' and 'Astro' were the only words she knew how to pronounce.

ralph took careful steps slowly back to camp. He went at a steady pace aware of Serena by his side all the time.

( No, let Lunar get shot )

Lunar poked her nose out of the tunnel. "I'm not leaving you here!" She yelled, coming out of the tunnel. She moved in front of Kasper bravely and closed her eyes. The shot rang out and she fell back, feeling searing pain in her chest.

"Thank you for doing this Ralph!" she said.

Kasper glanced over at the hunter. His attention was diverted. A clean shot rang out and he saw Lunar fall to the floor. Why didn't she just stay where she was? Didn't she trust him? Kasper howled in anger and charged the hunter. He leapt up and bite the hunter's neck. The hunter, caught completly unaware, stumbled down to the ground and fainted. With a quick swipe, kasper killed the hunter with a long bite. He ran over to lunar and barked out to her "Lunar, Lunar! no, don't die on me! Come on, it'll be ok!" he prayed siulently and willed her to live. But Kapser knew a route out of the hollow. He'd been here before. This was where he had stayed before the fire came. Gently, Kasper dragged Lunar through the thicket of bushes at the back and hauled her over a river. She was soaked in mud by the time they entered camp. "Oh no, please no! She's the medicine wolf!" He howled in anger at the hunter and ran to lunar's den. Glancing around the walls, he spotted a few remaining cobwebs. grabing them delicatly in his teeth, he raced out of the den and towards Lunar. he pressed them against the bullet wound and prayed to ahy wolf god that was listening. He licked her cheek comfortingly over and over again. What should he do?

Lunar lay unconscious, unaware of her being dragged back to her den. When she came round, Kasper was licking her cheek. She smiled weakly. "W-what happened?"

[woofers.]

The shot of the gun made all the animals freak, including the Elk's. Astro spun around, watching the herd of Elk run off into the distance "Damn it!" He cursed loudly with a growl. He sprinted after Kasper. He then came to a skidding halt when he saw Kasper with Lunar, who was shot. His eyes widened and he started to panic "K-Kasper..." He stuttered uneasily "What do we do?" He blurted out, dropping down next to Lunar and licking her wound.
