Emerald nodded. "Yes really. It's easier for me to ride bareback, plus it's easier on the horse as well. They travel fast with no tack." she explained. She giggled again when he asked about the food. "Yup. We're almost there. And I bet you are." she joked. "Look at you! You're all skin and bones! I'm making you eat twice as much until you fatten up." She was only half joking.

Frank smiled "But you dont blend in aswell" he retorted with a shrug and nodded eargerly "Ive always been skin and bones but twice as much food sounds good too me" He answered and his stomach rumbled on que, making him lurch forward slightly.

Prince Stephan nodded weakly, his green eyes burning into Rebecca's back as she stepped outside. He began to follow her, his thoughts finally drifting to other things, but stopped and turned to look up the stairs to where Kyle was preparing for bed. "Boy, we'll be right back," he called. "Bathe yourself and change out of those grubby clothes." Stephan enjoyed raising his cousin. They had grown close.

Chris was relieved at Arowin's words. He would have indeed left her if she asked him to, but he knew that would have been very painful for him. A small puff of breath escaped him and he closed his eyes for a moment, keeping his arms around her. "I missed you, Arowin," he told her, blinking with emotion. He was overcome with a need to be alone with her, closer to her, and he turned his head away.

Arowin sighed. "I have missed you too. I never thought you would come back." she said and then smiled. She stepped back but pulled him with her by the hand. "We must tell the others. Come on." she said bearly able to contain herself. Her dark cloak billowed out due to her sudden movement.

Rebecca quickly set the table and hurried back into the kitchen. She piled the meat onto a silver tray and then walked out again. She smiled and motioned for Stephan to sit down. She ran out the kitchen door again to the well and drew up the bucket. She grasped the cold bottles of wine and apple cider she had put in there and hurried back in. She smiled at Stephan and quickly poured some wine into the goblets. "So how did the thievery go?" she asked with a smile.

Kyle nodded and then hurried into the castle to his own room. He drew a cold bath for himself and did as he was instructed while whistling happily. When he came down again he found Rebecca talking away to Stephan with a goblet of wine in her one hand. He smirked and reached over to the three others set aside for Stephan, Arowin and Emerald but Rebecca saw him and slapped his hand away and pointed to the apple cider. Kyle growled under his breath and then took the apple cider. "Its unfair!" he muttered.

Emerald smirked and shrugged. "I guess." she replied. "That may be true, but you-" she sighed and shook her head, a smirk still on her lips. "Never mind. Let's just get you something to eat."

Frank chuckled and rode forward, Diad stomping out infront of himself as he powered forward "I look forward to it" he answered with a small croak.

Emerald smiled and giggled a little. She urged Envy into a slow canter and headed off the forest trail, weaving in between trees. She almost didn't see it but the moonlight finally revealed a fallen log. It was too late to turn so Emerald waited. At just the right moment she leaned forward over Envy's neck as he jumped the four foot log. She loved that one brief moment of being suspended in the air, the cool night breeze splashing her face, and her trusty steed under her. It was as close to heaven as any person could get. She landed and looked back at Frank, her smile even bigger.

Chris froze, drawing his hand smoothly from Arowin's. "I-I don't know if I'm ready," he admitted quietly, his hazel eyes brimming with shame. He took a step back, shaking his head to himself. "I love you, Arowin, and I love the Hood as well. But these years have been rough for me, and I have grown accustomed to life on my own. I'm don't want to give that up yet." This was only partially true- Chris was also afraid that the others would be angry with him, would think him a coward and a traitor. He couldn't face that yet- he wasn't fully stable. Chris pulled Arowin close again, worried that she would be hurt. "It's not you," he told her, his voice muffled by her hair. "I am just not myself right now." His heart broke as he thought of leaving her and he hugged her tighter, ignoring how his body erupted in flames. Suddenly an idea occured to him, and he spoke it aloud. "Will you meet me here, a few nights a week? So we can be together and get to know each other again?" Pitiful hope and longing filled his voice, and he went silent, waiting for a reply.

Stephan laughed heartily as Kyle pouted. The food smelled delicious, and he took a long sip of the bitter wine. "It went very well," he remarked, glad to be able to relax. He scratched the stubble on his chin thoughtfully, then removed his jacket and leaned back, watching his friend and cousin. "How was your evening?" he asked, smiling.

Saya sighed feeling so lonely. "There is no one out there for me. I cant believe I will turn into an old maid." She said and brightened up before bringing the King his food. "Your highness."

Diad followed strongly as he watched Envy canter forward and clear the log. He snorted with anticipation and pulled on the reins, Frank let the horse power forward towards the log "Cmon then!" he bellowed roughly and launched forward as the pair flew over the jump "Nothing too it" he chuckled as they cantered past Emerald.

Emerald laughed and watched as Frank and Diad cleared the log. "Exactly." she replied back. She kicked Envy faster, catching up to the pair. "Follow me and try not to get lost." she instructed, only half joking. She took the lead and turned Envy softly right, away from the path and towards the hidden castle.
