Oh, most of my family is from Italy, and I have been there once, and plan to go back as soon as possible. :)
Rome, 'tis a must-see. I would suggest spending at least 4 days there, because it truly is the Eternal City.
My favorite city was Florence, or Firenze. It was beautiful. Venice, believe it or not, was rather gross, and the people rather rude, but that's only my opinion.
Hmm.. Sicily is the land of my relatives. Hmm, it is gorgeous there, and there is a lot of nature sites there.
If you are to go to Europe, I would also suggest stopping in Lugano, Switzerland.
Or, near Lake Maggiore. :)
I hear Lake Como is gorgeous, but I have yet to see it..
OH! I know! Pisa! Though, don't stay for more then 1 day, it's rather small. Assisi is gorgeous also, but rather hilly.
Anyhow, hope I helped. :)
Ooh, I am to be of great jealousy!
