At school, my typing teacher is letting us make a PowerPoint presentation on whatever topic we want. I am doing Doctor Who, and you guys just gave me the best idea for my last slide! It's influences on other shows! No one in my class really knows what Doctor Who is, but I'm sure they've seen the Simpsons or Rugrats. Ha, I'm so excited! ^u^ .... agh.. I'm such a nerd CX

Lucky! I referenced Doctor Who in a science paper but my teacher didn't mention it. She didn't even write a comment! I said that Earth at its beginning looked like Gallifrey and added in two pictures for comparison. I also wrote about Doctor Who in a self-essay for my Latin class and my teacher told me she didn't know what it was. ON the bright side, I'm gonna sing Vale Decem for her at the end of the year :3

Two shows of which Us Versions traumatise me...

Coupling. (horrible... just... horrible)

Being Human. (I watched it the other day, all happy, yay Russel Tovey... and after a bit I was like... this is not a british accent... and I think... he's supposed to be the vamp, she the ghost.... WHY?! Why is there an American Version of this awesome show and why is it called the samee and Whhyyy does SyFy then dump the british version???)

But I did quite like Miracle Day. and there's plenty of american Sci Fi that I do like. ^^

I've just started watching the British version of Being Human, but the American version isn't available instantly on Netflix, but I'll watch that if it does become available. Because I don't think I really mind remakes. Sure, only one I've ever seen is The Office and I haven't even seen the original, so maybe I'm just missing something.

I liked Miracle Day too. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone else say they didn't hate it because of the "Americanization." And maybe it's because I'm American and totally don't even know what everyone else is talking about because I'm just used to American TV. I don't know. I would say I like American TV just fine, but besides animated programs, I don't watch that much American stuff. I think nearly every show I've watched recently has been British. Which I don't like because there's always references I don't get or slang that confuses me and sometimes the accents are hard to understand and I have to listen to TV at low volumes so it leads to confusion in my stupid little head.

So, I was in Biology class, taking a test, and all of a sudden, a sound comes from the classroom next door. The teacher there always plays loud music, anywho, the sound, was a song, and the song, was Gallifreyan History 101! I was so happy, I almost started singing it!
