"Hey." I say, putting down the rose next to the big stone. "Long time no speak, huh?" Silence. All I get in return is silence. But of course, what do I expect? You can't answer me. You've been gone for such a long time, I can't even remember your voice.

Who am I trying to fool? I remember your voice as if we were talking only yesterday. We often used to say the same thing simultaneously. So often, that eventualy we didn't even need to speak - one look was enough. And we laughed - laughed at all sorts of things. You always seemed to cheer me up.

I wonder what happened with the plushie I made for your 16th birthday. I spent almost a month sewing to make it perfect. Did you still keep it after you moved to another country? After studies and work took both our free times, and we lost all contact with each other, did you still keep it?

Now, almost 40 years after our last meeting, I can't help but wonder - did you forget about me? But it's too late for questions now. The only thing I know for sure is that I was a fool for never trying to contact you after you left. Because I never really forgot you.
