The cave-guard Purred in amusement as a sleepy voice wondered who was up, he recognised Lark's voice. "Just about everyone is up Lark!" He said, though not completely sure where she was in the cave yet, he looked at the other Prey-Hunters gathering with Storm and Leaf frowned slightly. More then one cave-guard should be with them. He padded over to Storm, Stream, Star, and Mouse. "Mind if I join you?" He asked, looking at them with his head tilted slightly. His eyes were bright and he no longerfelt tired at the thought of an exhilarating hunt.

Stream gazed at Leaf for a moment, before looking at Storm with a questioning look. Then, she looked down at Mouse, asking her quietly, "So, do you think you can take the eagle?" She had high hopes for Mouse, not just because she was her mentor, but Stream also wanted to (secretly) impress Leaf if he was to join the group. The silver tabby she-cat opened her mouth to taste the air. Her pelt prickled at the faint scent of an eagle lingering in the air somewhere.

{I don't have a post for Flame. I'll post later when I have an idea.}

Leaf looked at Stream for a moment when she asked Leaf a question, but turned and set his questioning look on Storm. He awaited permission for though Ston was ony a year older, he was still older then Leaf and he ha to respect his choice on whether or not to come with the group. As he waited he let his eyes wander, though he found his eyes drawn to the prey-hunters, which were all she-cats. He shook his head to push the thoughts of crushes and mates from his mind, he couldn't worry about that now. What if I got all dreamy over someone, I wonder what it would be like, to be in love... No! Focus, you need to hunt. He thought, thenscolded himself silently an luge the thoughts from his mind once more.


||Mouse Hunted by Hawk||
Mouse blinked as he realised her mentor was talking to her. "An eagle?" She nearly squeaked, she'd sen the others take down eagles before, but she's also seen how sharp and deadly their talons and beaks were and would they could do to a cat. A light of detirmination lit her eyes and she replied. "I can take it." She said, her soft voice rigid to jot give away that she was screaming with terror inside. She looked at the small hunting party then back to where Flame was sitting loyally by the entrance to camp, she sighed with a sense of longing then turned back to Stream.

Stream nodded at Mouse, closing her eyes for a second. She suddenly realized that this would only be her second time taking down a bird with wingspan bigger than her. The first one... well, the she-cat didn't want to think about it. Stream focused on the rushing sound of the waterfalls, the way her mother had taught her. Whenever she was tense, nervous, or worried, listening to the falls always calmed her nerves. She took a deep breath and released it before opening her eyes, which were clouded with anxiety. "I'm ready." she whispered confidently to no one in particular.

Storm just nodded to Flame and then proceeded to stand next to Star and Stream as well as her To-be, Mouse. He gazed at Leaf as he joined them and held back a roll of the eyes. So many she-cats fawned over him, it wasn't funny. He was such a popular tom. Not that he minded. He was glad Leaf got all the attention though he wouldn't admit he truly did feel lonely. Not even to himself. He looked around and nodded to Leaf. "I don't mind if you come with, Leaf," he mewed. He just sighed as Star hid behind him. He stepped to the side after a moment, not liking her presence there.

Star watched as Stream and Mouse joined her and she immediately jumped and backed up behind Storm, hiding from Leaf's gaze. She looked down at her paws as Storm sighed, shuffling them. She was too shy to admit she liked Leaf and whenever she was around him, she felt the need to be as close as possible yet at the same time, as far as possible. She didn't meet his gaze as she felt her fur get hot and she looked up as Storm moved away. She felt a blush under her fur and crouched down to the ground, studying it as if she were hunting a bug. "We should get going, before we lose the eagle," she murmured, looking up but still not meeting gazes with Leaf. Instead, she tilted her head at Stream.

Leaf smiled at Storm in thanks and held back the Amused purr that rose in his throat at Star's shy hiding. He wasn't blind, he could tell that he was well, popular, among the she-cats. He didn't mind but he wondered how many of them really knew him. He nodded in agreement to Star's words. "Yes we really should go," He said, scenting the air. "It's scent is getting stale." The brown tabby flicked his tail in a slight show of impatience. Once the hunting party started out on the path out of camp his tail was high in the air, he paused at the sight once they were past the waterfall and sighed. It was beautiful, the sun not too high in the sky, casting it's rays low in the clearings and small lake below that formed from the waterfall. Farther along he saw the distant forest, he felt something ominous about the place a sort of longing feeling drawing his heart toward it. He shook his head and looked ahead on the rocky path, staying with the patrol.

Stream nodded, barely noticing that the tomcat talking to her was Leaf. Her icy blue eyes suddenly became distant. "It sure is," she agreed, sighing a little. "When I was only a kit, my mother used to take me up to the top and force me to look down. She would ask me what I saw... or what I thought I saw since I felt like I was on top of the sky." She turned away from him, perking her ears up to listen to the falls. She blinked, realizing with a pang that those waterfalls-climbing days were over. Stream looked over at Leaf and asked him, "Have you ever been to the top? It's amazing up there, you should try it."

Leaf brought up the end of the group of cats, and pause as Stream caught up. "Amazing sight isn't it, I almost never get used to it." He said to her, looking at her for a second then back at the view beyond the waterfall before his gaze rested back on Stream. He had a gut-wrenching feeling about the forest in the distance, It's far away. But what if there are more, more cats. Somewhere out there. he had just reassured himself of the feeling when a new flood of questions ran into his mind. He closed his eyes for a small bit longer then a blink to calm his racing heart and remembered what he had said to Stream and looked at her, his eyes expectant and bright.
