Just a quick note: in many places around the United States, there are just too many deer for the wolves to consume... and even when we hunt the deer, there is still more than enough for the wolves.
The premise that the wolves don't have enough deer to hunt is wrong; instead it is probably true that wolves do indeed go for the 'easier' prey if they can. But if they choose to attack someone's herd, then it is the man's responsibility to protect his property. That is what I'd do.

Personally I love wolves, but they have no right to my sheepies.

If anyone wants to see them, I have a website that shows the aftermath of wolves surplus killing, and a website with a LOT of wolf attacks on humans. Most, if not all, resulted in death. Most also mentioned that the "victim" was partially eaten, and a LOT of them aren't older than 19 and aren't younger than 70.

Yes, but in that case the wolves themselves were being hunted, as opposed to an indirect source of extinction (like hunting too much deer and leaving them to starve) My post was merely showing that deer were not too scarce to make wolves attack sheep herds.
Just to make it clear, wolves should not be hunted like they were in France, since they do quite a lot to keep the population of prey animals (like deer) balanced. But when they detour from that purpose and attack our herds, we must defend what's ours, same as they do.
