Minnowpaw let out a burst of speed, her fluffy blue-grey form dashing through the trees like a ball of mist. She reached the entrance, puffing. "I think that was a tie," she mewed between breaths.

Jaystar smiled. "Today we have gathered to witness the making of a new warrior. Badgerpaw, please come over here."

Leafdapple shrugged and padded into camp for the meeting.

Badgerpaw tilted his head,and padded up towards the twisted Ash.He sat down in front of it,and looked up at Jaystar.

Grizzlyheart laughed,and turned her attention to Jaystar,and Badgerpaw."Look Minnowpaw" she whispered."It looks like Badgerpaw's about to become a warrior" she continued

Sparrowthorn looked over at Badgerpaw in approval. He nodded his head, slowly and precisely, then focused on Jaystar once more.

Badgerpaw looked back,and grinned when he saw Sparrowthorn's nod of approvel.He turned his head back to the twisted Ash.

Viperkit snorted,when she realized that Gingerfur was paying attention to Sandkit only.She snorted,and looked back outside to the meeting. She smirked,and slowly krept out of the nursery.She silently padded to the center of the clearing.

Jaystar cleared his throat. "Badgerpaw, you are a brave and skillful cat. Both Sparrowthorn and I think you are ready to take on the responsibilities of a warrior. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect your Clan for the rest of your life against all odds?"

"Yes,I do promise" Badgerpaw replied calmly.He couldn't help but feel proud,and excited that he was finally becoming a warrior.

Grizzlyheart looked at Badgerpaw, and Minnowpaw.She secretly knew that Badgerpaw had feelings for Minnowpaw,and she knew that once the warrior ceremony was over,he would come padding up to Minnowpaw.

Viperkit squeaked,with excitement.

Badgerpaw kept looking up at his leader,waiting for Jaystar to continue.

Sparrowthorn focused his attention on Jaystar once more. He could still recall how excited his first apprentice was when he had been made a warrior. He had been killed by a badger on his first patrol as a warrior. Badgerpaw had been a cruel reminder of this, but the apprentice had earned a place of respect in Sparrowthorn's heart by working hard and proving himself to be a loyal member of the clan.
