Awesome Fluttershy! How was it? I've never been to Disney on Ice.

And the death or absence of one or both parents, is, at least I think just a theme in storytelling. All the movies in which a parent dies or is dead/gone done by Disney already have the death/absence of one or both parents in the orginial source material, like 'Snow White', 'Cinderella', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Bambi' etc. You could argue Walt picked some of the stories because there are no mothers, but who knows?

And it's certainly prevalent outside of Disney movies, like 'How to Train Your Dragon', 'Harry Potter', and older stories like 'Hansel and Gretel' or 'Tom Sawyer'.

I never even thought about that with Penny and her mom and dad. That's interesting. I always wanted to see more of Penny's stage dad. I don't know why, he just seemed cool. It would be awesome if Disney did another Bolt movie that was the show they were filming in the movie, you know with the lasers, and the green-eyed man, and actiony shots and stuff. I always wanted to find out what happened in that. (I mean without the alien of course;)) Or even if they made it into a TV show - the same show in the movie. That would be cool.

Sure, tell us who was in it! (Wow, took me like forever to respond. I am so bad XP) One day I'll have to go see a Disney on Ice show.

I have another question for everyone! We've mostly been talking about animated Disney movies, but what's everyone's favorite live action Disney movie? (Wait, did anyone ask this question before?)

My favorites, at least that I can think of off the top of my head, are 'Secretariat' which was awesome. Also 'Eight Below'. And the first two Narnia films were also really good. I haven't seen any of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies yet (shields self from crazy fans). Kind of ironic since that's my favorite ride in DisneyWorld. (And I also love old pirate stories and the Monkey Island games) Well, I did see the second or third one - not sure - but I didn't understand what was going on, probably because I wasn't paying much attention. XP

Stitch, Belle, Beast, the bad guy in Beauty and the Beast, Ariel, Ariel's Prince, Mickey, Minnie... Nemo, Marlin, Dory... Bruce... yeah. xD Oh, and Mulan.

Pixar has said they are going with a 'darker, gritter' feel to this movie, then previous Disney Princess movies. So, yes, although the animation is top-notch Disney stuff, the story is supposedly very unDisney like. Ii seems sort of like 'Braveheart' Disney style. It certainly seems sort of epic-y. (Heh! I just made up that word!)
