One night, in the cold, harsh wind of a Canadian night, six pups were born. The mother worked to keep each one alive, but she failed. She lay her head down, thinking all of her pups were dead, and died of the broken heart the thoughts had made. Then two squirmed, yapping and tumbling with each other. They fell into a deep sleep after the moon sang and threw it's bright rays onto their fur. It gave them all blue and white fur. The next day the pups seperated, but the moon's gift had taken toll. They were fully grown, having slept for one year, but it only felt like one day. The female vetured to the sea, where the forbidden ocean took pity on the puppy in a grown wolf's body and blessed her with the eye of the sea, which could see the truth in all things. Her legs turned black to show her blessing.
